Forget Beyonce's alter ego, Sasha Fierce -- she has a new fantasy persona in mind ... Wonder Woman.

Mrs. Knowles-Carter tells the Los Angeles Times she is definitely interested in playing Wonder Woman on the big screen saying, "A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It's time for that, right?" She has already met with reps of DC comics and Warner Bros to express her interest.

Seeing as "Catwoman" and "Elektra" were both box office bombs, Bey might want to rethink the whole superhero thing.

She was white.

The original Catwoman on the TV series was Julie Newmar.
She was white.

Earth Kitt only played Catwoman for one season and was replaced by Lee Merriweather.

Beyonce sucks and would suck even harder as Wonder Woman.

Look, I am a black woman and I say the role should go to Megan Fox or Nadia Bjorlin. They are both hot and Nadia is a true lookalike.

55. From what I remember, Wonder Woman does not sing. Beyonce cannot act, and the only way to distract from her bad acting is for her to sing and dance i.e. Goldmember and Dreamgirls. This is a bad idea and I hope DC Comics and Warners Bros don't seriously consider it.

59. Its a sad world we live in when people can become famous without talent.
Beyonce cannot act, as poster #20 said it is painful to watch her on screen.
Her ego is so inflated she cant see she is an embarrasment to cinema.
I think it was really obvious in Dreamgirls....
Beyonce's singing has changed a lot since she became extremely famous. She oversings and almost shouts in most of her songs on her B Day CD . I really wasted my money on that!

60. I'm pretty sure Wonder Woman was Amazonian and her back story/History was fashioned after Greek Mythology, which would then make her Greek. I think the actress to play should have blue eyes, raven hair, and the height to pull it all off (Wonder Woman was not short, she was actually pretty tall).
If you base your opinions about WW through the old tv show, then you're not well informed. Read about WW through Marvel (the creating force behind the lady) and you'll be surprised that she's just about as kick ass as Superman/Batman etc.

In conclusion, it would be a crime to give Beyonce the Wonder Woman mantle...she can definitely play a villain though.
