Beyonce: I Am Wonder Woman

Forget Beyonce's alter ego, Sasha Fierce -- she has a new fantasy persona in mind ... Wonder Woman.
Beyonce and Wonder Woman
Mrs. Knowles-Carter tells the Los Angeles Times she is definitely interested in playing Wonder Woman on the big screen saying, "A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It's time for that, right?" She has already met with reps of DC comics and Warner Bros to express her interest.

Seeing as "Catwoman" and "Elektra" were both box office bombs, Bey might want to rethink the whole superhero thing.

61. I don't care about about seeing a black wonder woman or a white one
I care about the acting jobs being taken from actresses and actors and giving to people that need to stay in Music.

Who should we contact about this joke!!!

Peace

62. I hope Marvel comic WILL NOT allow Beyonce to play Wonderwoman. Come on, she really is overrated and can not act. And, she just isn't Wonderwoman material. Megan Fox would be a perfect Wonderwoman. She's got an acting track record with Transformers. And she LOOKS like Wonderwoman from the comics.

I am soooooo tired of all this "it's time for a black" fill in the blank. Give me a break. Blacks get PISSED off when a white person goes for a black role or portrays a black person. So why is there a double standard. Wonderwoman is WHITE, with black hair and blue eyes.

63. If the producers decide to actually have the original Linda Carter be in this movie, lets say as Wonder Woman's mentor, I don't want to see her talking to Beyonce. In my eyes, it would make it seem like Beyonce is trying to give ger singing lessons.

64. There is a lot of talk about beyonce not being considered because she is African American. Yes she is African American and what's the problem with that? Nothing! I'm African American and I detest going into stores and only seeing limited African American dolls, while there is ample stock of White dolls. I'm not falling for the forced standard of beauty. White woman don't represent any standard for me---none. There are beauties in every culture/ethnicity. We need a paradigm shift. While I do agree that Beyonce is not the best choice for Wonder Woman, it's not because she African American. She needs speech lessons if anything. She is beautiful, and a good entertainer. She lacks personality. Since we're on the topic, if there is such a problem with people authentically representing characters, why was it ok for Elizabeth Taylor to play Cleopatra who was African (even if mainstream whites don't want to admit that Egypt is a part of Africa)? Wonder Woman was not White, and even is she was, if there is someone better for the job, then so be it. By the way, for the person who thinks African Americans should be happy that Barack Obama will be the 44th president, I say to you...."Not only Afircan Americans, but the world, including Caucasians." It's better than having Ol" what's his name.
