Sarah Palin: The Hits Just Keep Comin'

Sarah Palin is still sore from pulling the knife out of her back from fellow Republicans.

The Governor, now back in Alaska, is responding to recent allegations that she didn't know Africa was a continent, and can't name the countries in NAFTA -- calling the people who said them "cruel, mean-spirited, immature, jerks." Palin claims the rumors aren't true, calling them ridiculous.

Tell that to John McCain.

61. Sarah Palin is finally being accounted for by the people who had to put with her selfishness, ignorance, "end times" hillbilly cult weirdness, "speaking in tongues" policy development process, "bridge to nowhere" idiocy and her great enthusiasm and track record of thieving money for Alaskans from the lower 48. PORK PORK PORK.

Oh I forgot, the shooting wolves from helicopters. That's always a good way to learn about life in general, YOU MORONS! The kind of people that aim a rifle at anything that moves, are NOT hunters, they are NOT mature, they are NOT responsible, what they are are neglected warped kids with vengeance against neglect on their minds. Sarah Palin is their champion. Teenage pregnancies, no sex education, no womens right to choose, this Sarah Palin is a sick loser (who could be talked into driving to Africa, and now that she's been to the lower 48, she's fit to be President of NASA, surely)!

62. 39. This is Kelly again. By the way, I'm not a Christian. I'm also very proud of the work that I do.

Just because you aren't a Christian, this doesn't give you a pass concerning your hypocrisy.

That other poster referred to your double standards in not dumping on Fox News, and in not wanting Palin's past associations to be discussed, only Obama's. Many of us would like to see how you explain these inconsistencies.

63. Sexism, sexism, sexism.

Reagan was ignorant about many things and was considered a dufus actor who made movies with Bonzo the monkey.

Dan Quayle was regarded as a dummy who couldn't spell.

These men never got the beating that Gov. Palin has taken.

In fact, Reagan is now revered as one of the best Presidents in history.

So, stick it to the rabid gang of misogynists. Gov. Palin has done a great job governing, and she had no silver spoon.

More fun to beat up on a woman, especially if she's pretty, right losers?

64. You people who attack Palin for hunting are SUCH HYPOCRITES.

You eat meat, wear leather/fur, have leather car seats, use cosmetics, prescription drugs, etc etc etc

The animals you eat/use suffered cruel horrible deaths and living conditions.

At least in Alaska the animals live in the wild and are killed cleanly. Hunting is part of their culture. Do you attack ranchers in Texas for their slaughter of cattle? Do you attack fisheries for their inefficient killing and killing off species?

Your attacks are ignorant. You just want to attack Palin.

65. Foxnews report the news. She has been under attack, like Foxnews said, but Palin is fighting back. I learnt from Greta last night how Davis, McCain's lead guy doesn't know who is saying this & why as alot of these stories are untrue. One attack said she met some of the staff with only her towel wrapped around her. The real truth is that she didn't even know they were in there & her husband was also there, & she did pop in with a tower wrapped around & quickly turned around to get dresses. Greta has an interview with her Monday night & I will be watching her. Those staff members are cowards & the overall media aren't any better.

66. #60 - It's not misogynistic when the comments against Palin are coming from women. Women who believe in the right to choose. I do not know anyone personally who agreed with or supported Palin's ideology.

#52 Fred - I couldn't agree with you more. The idea of forcing someone who was raped to carry a baby to term makes me ill. I certainly couldn't do it - nor would I want my mother, sister or friends to have to endure that after being attacked.

Palin's stance on many issues leaves her lacking - as does her knowledge. Her verbal abilities during the campaigning and debates spoke volumes - the woman could not answer the majority of questions sent her way.

"Beating"? Please enumerate the insults that were leveled at Palin. She had it much easier than Obama, who is a man. He was called ...

... a "terrorist"

... a "racist"

... a "muslim"

... a "communist"

... a "Nazi" (yes, I actually read an email that was being circulated in Pennsylvania a week before the election that accused him of this)

... "the Antichrist"

... someone who would lead the African-Americans in this country to exact vengeance against the whites for more than 200 years of slavery.

... someone who killed his grandmother right before the election in order to garner the sympathy vote (this one was posted a few times here on TMZ by one or more McCain supporters, and I also saw it on a number of other locations)

Furthermore, people at McCain and Palin rallies made death threats to Obama (calls of "kill him" were sometimes heard).

What do you call all of this, if not "beating" on Obama? He received worse abuse than Palin, so don't try to tell us that she was singled out.

69. If Palin's detractors are "sexist", then how do you people account for the literally millions of us women who didn't like her and voted against her and McCain?

Also, how do you know what the gender is of these McCain staff members?

70. Another nail in the coffin for the Republican party. How stupid are they to not see that by "outing" Palin, they are just making McCain and their entire party look really, really bad. It just confirms that they did not put a lot of effort or research into the hiring decision and they just used her to get female votes.

71. Why don't you all leave Sarah alone and put your focus on Obama he is the one that's gonna be running our country.

Posted at 4:42PM on Nov 8th 2008 by Joy

72. Sarah Palin insists that Obama's past associations with William Ayers should be explored, and this is called "exposing the truth". Other people insist that Sarah Palin's past associations with AKIP should be explored, and this is called "unfair" and "sexist".

Sarah Palin insists that Obama is inexperienced, and this is considered a valid point to raise. Other people insist that Sarah Palin is inexperienced, and this is called "unfair" and "sexist".

Double standards.

Good point! The person who assumes that all of Palin's detractors are men is displaying an intrinsically sexist attitude by making that assumption.

Yes, and it's sexist to use Palin to get female votes.

Unfortunately, these geniuses didn't count on the fact that someone as radically conservative and fundamentalist as Palin would drive away millions of moderate voters, men and women alike.

75. Sarah Palin might be the nicest person in the world, but I think John McCain made a big mistake for picking her for his VP. In my mind she cost him the election. Although I was for Obama & am glad he won
