Palin to Dina:

I'm the Real White Oprah

11/9/2008 6:13 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Sarah PalinThere are now two things from Alaska that are worth their weight in gold -- oil and Sarah Palin.

A slew of agencies -- including CAA, ICM and William Morris -- are looking to bank on Sexy Sarah's magnetic appeal to her conservative fan base, according to the NYPost. Ideas are floating around for Palin's own talk shows, political commentary on major news networks and even a multi-million dollar book deal.

Wonder who's gonna write it.

What goes around will come around, Harvey

Another thing about Palin in Alaska is that now she has some serious fence mending to do. She became popular in that state because she was non-partisan, she compromised, and she built coalitions with both Republicans and Democrats. But now, after a very polarizing and negative campaign, she has generated a lot of animosity against her in the Democrats who used to work with her.

Palin kept harping on Obama's "terrorist connection" and his alleged ties to "marxism". She also smiled and giggled during campaign events when members of the crowd would yell out things like "kill him!" when Obama was referred to. Many Alaska Democrats are much less willing to work with Palin after she made a name for herself with antics like this.

Time will tell whether these bad feelings will persist in Alaska.

But in any case, those feelings are indeed raw now, and this might hurt Palin if there is a special election for Senator in December and she runs. I believe that she's better off waiting a couple years and letting things cool down before throwing her fate to the the voters of Alaska. Of course by then, she'll have to run against Murkowsky if she wants to be Senator, and that carries the problems that I mentioned above.

pua

It's enough that the conservatives lost the election and now have to endure 4 years of more name calling from supposedly good hearted, well intentioned, pie in the sky liberals. Get over it yourselves, I'm sure she isn't crying in her beer because someone is calling her ugly names.

Be sure to wear your sweat pants and crocs to your next rally.

"104. I don't happen to be that poster, but I do sincerely thank you for the kind compliment, Tumbleweeds. :)

I don't know if you'll be so complimentary, however, when I tell you that I voted for Obama.

This is a direct quote of Sarah Palin in an interview that aired Monday on Fox News. Note how she is characterizing the Bush administration and the Republicans. She talks about how the Republicans allowed us to run up a 10 trillion dollar national debt and how they made blunders in the war. These are the same kind of arguments that those nasty, horrible liberals were making.

This message seems to be somewhat different from what she was saying during the campaign. It seems to me that now Palin is getting stabbed in the back by people in the McCain campaign, she decided to get some revenge by kissing the asses of the liberals. And she's doing it on Fox News, the network that first released the story about the McCain staffers' complaints about Palin, which might be a little bit of subtle vengeance against Fox, as well.

Here's the interview excerpt:

Greta Van Susteren: "Why did your campaign lose?"

Sarah Palin: "I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a 10 trillion dollar debt in a Republican administration, how have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration.

"If we're talking change, we want to get far away from what it was that the present administration represented and that is to a great degree what the Republican Party had been representing. People desiring change I think went as far from the administration that is presently seated as they could . . . It's amazing that we did as well as we did."
