Really stupid and proving it in public is no way to go through life.

She did 23 days for a probation violation. Paris Hilton has never been charged with or convicted of DUI. You are right that it was not a normal sentence, only 6 people out of more than 4000 convicted of that crime in California have ever been jailed. You might also think about the sheriff who did not release her after 5 days (10 % of her original sentence) but released Michelle Rodriguez after 18 days of her six month sentence and told the press tht he releases every non violent prisoner after they serve 10 percent.

California cops and courts are an embarassment to the state and our country.
