Election Peeps to Robbins: You Screwed Yourself!

The state of New York is pointing fingers at the person responsible for causing all of Tim Robbins' Election Day voting problems -- and it's Tim Robbins.

The Democratic Commissioner of Elections from the Borough of Manhattan sent Robbins a letter yesterday blaming him for the confusion that set the actor on a mission from hell last week.

The letter says Robbins filed a change of address form back in 2004, which changed his polling location -- something Robbins would have known if he had voted since then.

But Robbins says that just ain't true. He told the Daily News he voted in his regular spot in 2004 and 2006 -- an assertion backed by a local Board of Elections inspector.

Robbins was only allowed to vote at his place of choice last Tuesday after receiving a letter from a judge.

16. You may or may not want to know this but he is telling the truth. I know this because I live in NyC and I've seen him voting at the 14th Street location in recent years. You may not agree with his politics but when he's right, he's right.

17. Such a self-important jerk. Most poll workers worked their butts off trying to make sure everything ran smoothly (I must thank my precinct workers - voting was so easy). Timmy had to show up and make a scene because he felt he was inconvenienced. I feel sorry for the people who had to accommodate his tirade. Things happen in life, deal with it.

19. Does Tim Robbins actually support South America's first Fascist Hugo Chavez (Chavez is a fascist even by other socialists standards) ???

21. I was in line to vote behind Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, and experienced a short delay but absolutely no drama. They have lived in the same location for the 13 years I have lived down the block from them and we have been voting at this particular place for several years. As an observer, I saw nothing unusual and Tim left without showing anger or discontent. I did not realize there was an issue until I started reading over dramatized reports of it. I think he handled it with calm and dignity and went to a lot of trouble to cast his vote. Give him a break!
