Isn't neurofibromatosis the same as Elephant Man's disease?
Neurofibromatosis is not Elephant Man's disease. For many years scientists believed that Joseph Merrick, the so-called "Elephant Man", had NF1, but in 1986 it was established that he had Proteus Syndrome, an extremely rare condition.
He did not have Neurofibromatosis, I work with experts in the field and that hypothesis ended over 15 years ago. He had proteus only!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get your facts straight you morons.
