29. #26 - Many people in this country and the world have congenital heart disease. Some of these conditions are associated with an increase risk of mortality (up to 40-50%) if the pregnant women goes through with the pregnancy. Most of these women DON"T KNOW they have a heart condition until the prenatal work up has been completed. So I do not blame these women if they don't want to go through with their pregnancy since they can possibly have a 50/50 shot of dying. I have seen atleast a half dozen of these cases in the past year my self.
