I'm surprised that President Elect Obama is even taking the extra effort and time to announce that the 7000 jobs will go to anyone that will apply! to think in my 56 years on this Planet this is the 1st time this has ever been mention!! this brother is in touch with the needs of the people. It does'nt matter what you have done, if you are qualified and willing to take the risk you may get hired for the next 8 years. Previous presidents never had the minds or willingness to allow the entire population of the United States to have this kind of opportunity. I'm going to apply, and keep faith in this kind of process.

The US has a mixture of jus sanguinis and jus soli when it comes to how nationality or citizenship is determined in this country. Whether Obama was born in or out of the US wouldn't change a thing. His mom was American, that alone makes him American.

If that's the case than what is the big deal with the birth certificate. Why doesn't he just release it and put this thing behind him. Everyone else did. It makes no sense.

Actually, yours is stupid. I've known a number of Muslims and none of them hated the US. They were grateful for the chance to be here, and frankly, were sweeter and more caring than many Christians I know.

Maybe they turned off the sound on their tv's and voted for the better looking guy. I don't know...but I know he burned the American flag and he and his wife hate what the flag stands for. Paul "Earthquake" Moore tracks down Broad Street to provide Thanksgiving Dinners for needy families.

Mr. Paul "Earthquake" Moore, winner of the Wrice-Campbell Award for Neighborhood Safety, sponsored and organized the first One Man Jog-A-Thon ten years ago in an effort to reduce hunger among families during the holiday season.
Since then this has become much more than a one man job a thon. The Annual Celebrity Turkey Run will be held November 22, 2008 District Attorney Lynne Abraham has supported this effort by coming out each year to start the run. This year along with Lynne Abraham, employees of Nova Care, KYW UKEE WASHINGTON CBS 3 AND BILL V FOX29 TV and Deputy Commissioner Stephen Johnson will lead the run, which will begin on the South Side of Broad Street at 11:00 a.m. This run will end at the Wachovia Center at Broad and Patterson.

Remember, our goal is to get 1,000 turkey dinners! In order to accomplish this we need you! Runners are needed (make sure you have a turkey in tow) to reach our goal of feeding 1,000 Philadelphia and Delaware County families for Thanksgiving. Each person who wants to run must bring a turkey. If you are not able to run with us you can still participate by bringing your monetary donation or donated turkey to Broad Street the day of the run or you can drop off your donation at New Fellowship Baptist Church at 70th and Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19142.
