Daisy Duke Shut Out of CMAs

Jessica SimpsonFormer pop singer/actress/wife Jessica Simpson just added another stellar achievement to her disintegrating resume, the CMAs' persona non grata.

In a last ditch effort to save her career, the "Dukes of Hazzard" star released a country album earlier this year -- so it would have made sense to make an appearance at last night's show. Unfortunately, the Carrie Underwood-hosted CMAs had no time to have Tony Romo's current girlfriend perform, present or sit in the bleachers, since they had already filled their ranks with tried and true country artists like ... Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Lil Wayne!

But don't worry, Ashlee Simpson's sister doesn't need the entire country music establishment on her side. Tonight she's performing at an Indian casino near Ontario, Calif. and we're told 50% of tix are still available.

"Dancing with the Stars" here she comes!

16. The problem is that Jessica isn't passionate about making music..she is passionate about making money. It shows in her performances so this is not surprising.

18. She is old news. She can't sing or act and when she tries to sing she looks like a spaz. I think Playboy would be a good next step for her. Maybe even living at the mansion with Hef. I am sure the Rev. her dad is really proud of what she has accomplished.

19. I can't believe how personal everything is made on this site from the snippy little titles to the mean comments, it wasn't too long ago everyone was badmouthing Carrie Underwood. I think they both do a good job. I really wish everyone would stop trying to make a big deal of nothing. Both of them have music on radio so it can't be too bad. Besides just because you are in the majority in badmouthing on this site doesn't make you the majority off this site. You would be surprised at BOTH of their fan base. This is of course my humble opinion. MEAN PEOPLE SUCK!!!!!

22. I don't recall seeing Tim or Faith in the crowd. Does that mean they weren't invited? Ever thought maybe she was invited and was gracious enough not to want to take away from Carrie's night? 23. So, I am number 19 and out of all these folks only ONE supporter of the horribly UNtalented Miss Simpson. I agree, NEITHER of the Simpson women can sing worth a damn, or have ANY talent worth walking across the street to watch for free. Their dad is a creep and if they REALLY wanted to stay in the business they should get a REAL manager, maybe people would take them more seriously....but then, they'd have to have TALENT then too. GO AWAY FAR FAR AWAY and strart making dumb babies like your sister did.

29. Well I kinda feel sorry for her. She has tried to make a career out of singing but most likely needs a real manager, not her father. I wish I could sing just a little bit but I can't carry a tune in a bucket. She is pretty enough and still young; maybe she can get a new agent and stylist and start over in some other venue.
