Dear TMZ, I'm the REAL Paula Abdul Stalker...

A self-proclaimed "Paula Abdul stalker" who was featured on season 7 of "American Idol" is furious with TMZ after a story we posted scared his friends and family into believing he was the one cops found in front of Abdul's house.

Paul Marturano, who sang that skin-crawling stalker anthem on last season's "Idol," wrote us a scathing email yesterday saying: "THANKS ALOT ... I have been getting endless emails and calls from friends and family memebers [sic] who saw your headline about the Paula Abdul Fan Death ... My mother cried thinking I was dead."

Creepy McCreeperton even signed the email "Paula Abdul's Stalker from American Idol Season 7."

17. There was no way for Randy, Simon and Paula to know if this guy was playing comedian or was really screwed up. The interesting thing is Simon had the only appropriate concern about this behavior while Randy laughed and Paula couldn't decide if she should laugh, cry or ask him out. Her inability to spot a potential threat correctly makes her stupidly vulnerable. She should have been outraged in the first 10 seconds.

18. This guy is a fake. He does parody songs, and has a band from Pa. He had such a laugh about the attention he received from his "stalker" audition. I just dont think he should get any attention over this troubled girls death.

20. It reminds me of the 1996 movie The Fan where an obsessed baseball fan (played by Robert De Niro) tried to stalk the major baseball player and kill him.

21. Gross. They guy's performance was nasty and creepy. Simon was right to cut him off and eject him. He looks like he'd like to murder Paula.

22. Um... this guy's mother thought he was a woman...? I'm guessing they aren't very close. Maybe momsie should read a few words into the news article next time. (You think having a creeper mom is why he's a creepy stalker?)

And... how do you admit to being a stalker and not get arrested?!
