33. When you losers can stand on a stage and hang with Pino Palladino and Steve Jordan then you might have a portion of Mayers talent.

The guy proved he was a contender with his last effort, he respects and pays homage to his roots without being a copycat.
Here in Austin Texas you cannot swing a cat without hitting the next SRV imitator......Mayer is the real deal.
Tell me who else is carrying the torch for rock-n-roll? Todays artists are the result of the cheap and fast digital age where talent is not a requirement...the record company's have pissed in their own cornflakes. Rap and pop-tart packaged kiddie bands are only dumbing down the masses and making a mockery of american music....idiots like the Grammy's don't help...but then again they only care about their silly little TV show and it's revenue $.

Mayer will still be around in 15 years making good music and hopefully inspiring a new generation of kids who actually want to write and play real instruments!

35. I totally agree with the last comment #33, Mr. Komit.) He obviously appreciates Mayer's true musical talent. John's latest cd, "Where the Light Is" is loaded with one great song after another and they don't all sound the same. He is a gifted guitarist and he can vary the pitch and mood of his voice. I like his personality and I can't wait for his show. I didn't become a fan until August but now, I can't listen to him enough. In a world of crap music, his is full of rock, pop, blues and I love it! Final commments: I wish three things--1) that he would let his hair grow back; 2) that he had never hooked up with Jenn and 3) that "Where the Light Is" will win him yet another Grammy.

so stop hating... give the dude a shot.. his VH1 show.. "John Mayer Has a TV Show" was HYSTERICAL! and he cut it cause he wanted to focus on music and felt TV wasn't right for him at the time..

just give the guy some credit.. he's hard working, has loads of talent and is probably alot better looking you all any way...
