Don Cornelius Charged With Multiple Crimes

"Soul Train" host Don Cornelius has been charged with three counts of spousal battery, one count of dissuading a witness from making a police report, and one count of assault with a deadly weapon.

Cornelius was arrested last month after allegedly getting into it with a woman at his home. The 72-year-old is married but cops aren't saying if the alleged victim was his wife.

The charges that were just filed by the L.A. City Attorney -- all misdemeanors -- stem from two separate incidents.

Cornelius could get five years if convicted of all charges.

32. This guy is one of the biggest pricks in the business. I work on the lot that soul train was taped at for thirteen years and everyone knew he was an A-hole. Even the dancers hated him. Except for the specialty dancers, he would have the people dance all day through six to eight episodes, then give the a KFC two piece meal that's been sitting around all day. If you left, then you just didn't come back. If he didn't like your looks, you didn't come back. If you ever said a bad word about him and it got back to him, that was your ass. You were out. I hope he gets what's coming to his old, tired ass. And how does spousal battery and assault with a deadly weapon only merit a misdemeanors?

34. Have you all lost your mind? The last time I checked this was the U.S. Innocent until proven guilty. D.C. is the god damn man sitting next to the man. Worse case scenario is that some skank tried to F___ him over and he had to handle it.

37. NO Dumb Asses Spousal can be on your girlfriend ,boyfriend or any one that you have a sexual relationship with does not have to be your spouse per say who didn't know that
