Britney's Conservator -- Tap This!

Jamie Spears was drinking at a bar this weekend. But contrary to several reports, we're told it was NOT alcohol.

Spears was at Big Dean's "Muscle In" Cafe in Santa Monica Friday night. He was bellied up at the bar, drinking two or three glasses of something. We're told it was O'Doul's, not beer.

If Jamie had been drinking beer it would be a big deal -- he's a recovering alcoholic and guzzling suds could jeopardize his conservatorship over Britney.

We're told he drank his O'Doul's and walked out with a cheeseburger and chili fries.

There were reports the liquid came from a tap. We checked and turns out O'Doul's does come in keg form. We did not know that.

16. that looks like a bottle to me and not a glass, which would contain "tap" beer.

I think the staff of this website and it's content are PATHETIC. WORSE than Perez Hilton, and yes I said it.

18. O'Douls comes in a Green bottle. That one looks brown to me, Bud. Also, as a bar owner my self, having O'doul's on tap is quite a waste of space considering not many people drink it. I only keep a case or two on hand at any given time

19. I thought the whold clan was in Kentwood for an "early holiday" according to TMZ. Looks like it was a short holiday too. So I guess they all jetted back on the private plane after a couple days in the Wood. Good way to spend Brit Brit's money.

20. O'Douls also comes in a brown bottle, in an "amber." I serve it where I work. I also agree the the "ritual" of drinking this "near" beer is not a good idea for a recovering alcoholic.

21. I have a friend who got a drunk driving and was on an ankle tether. He came in one day with an O'Douls. I said "that stuff has alcohol in it" I He laughed, and drank a six pack. He went to jail for 3 months the next time he showed up for probation.

22. Having the talentless, loser, skank Britney for a daughter would drive me to drink too. I kinda feel sorry for him. He raised two loser skanks. Guess he's paying the price now.

23. HA HA, Way to manufacturer a story TMZ. First, it is not in a glass, it is in a bottle. I have never know of any establishment that pulls from a tap into a bottle. I am fairly sure that that is a root beer bottle anyway not an ODooles Amber bottle. Also, Jamie choose to quit drinking on his own, he is not under court order not to drink, so if he chooses to have an ODooles Amber it is his business.

28. I happen to have some O'Douls in my fridge now for my recovering AA friends and it has 0.5% alcohol - a regular beer has about 5.0% alcohol, so it takes 10 O'Douls to equal 1 beer. My friend that drinks it just really likes the taste of beer with some foods and drinks 1 or 2 with, say, pizza and he has been in recovery for 6 years and doing fine. I think it would take so much to catch a buzz that the person drinking would get sick from too much liquid and the other things in it.

This is the kind of story TMZ need to MIND ITS OWN BUSINESS.

29. MsTellit Likeit Is -- alcoholics don't need to get a buzz to be in trouble. One drink is too many and a hundred is never enough. O'Doul's has a small percentage of alcohol, true, but an alcoholic should not have ANY percent. The guy who said alcoholics can go to bars as long as they are spiritually fit. Sure, but that's the point. If they aren't, they should avoid them. Change your playmates and your playground to avoid falling into old, bad habits. It's courting disaster. Some can handle it, but others just can't. He seems to have done a great job helping Brit recover from her issues but that can take a toll. I just hope it's not leading him off the wagon...and no, I'm not an alcoholic, recovering or otherwise, but I have had my life affected by an addict and attended plenty of 12-step meetings...

30. Recovering alcoholics who drink "near-beer" are near-sober.
