A smoldering heap of concrete and rubble is all that remains of Christopher Lloyd's Montecito mansion -- a home that was valued at $11.3 million before this weekend.

Lloyd's place was only one of the 210 homes destroyed by the Tea Fire in the Santa Barbara area.

16. While I feel equally sad for all of the victims of these southern California fires, it makes me wonder if they will collect their insurance benefits and at last use their Brain to relocate to a different region. What is it with these stubborn people everywhere who challenge the Universe; they lose to fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, Santana Winds, the ruptured hillside, etc. just because they want a terrific view. And, the rest of us should help pay for the loss of their Dream Home?

Repeatedly we are being warned that a KIller Earthquake will happen on the Pacific Coast at any time now. Do we listen? Would these fire victims finally pay heed to the warnings, accept the Universes's Omen of what is soon to happen that will make these fires seem minor as to what a major earthquake will create for them? People, would you please grab your insurance settlement and finally GET THE HELL OUT OF CALIFORNIA. You don't have a quality life. You are in the midst of a danger zone. Arizona and New Mexico are plenty big for all of you and your McMansions!

19. This is heavy. I bet the excess of Plutonium he had in the basement did it. I hope Einstein wasn't home.

20. When somebody like him can afford an 11 million dollar house, it just goes to show how incredibly stupid America is.

21. This was my grandmother's house. She built lt in the early seventies and it was far from a mansion. It felt a lot more spacious than it really was. It was designed so that there were no square corners and the adobe was made on site. Some of the floor tiles had animal footprints in it which added to the character. I can assure everyone that it was certainly not sold for 11 million dollars. If it were my kids' college tuition would be taken care of. I am very sad about the loss for Mr. Lloyd.

22. TMZ - you should be arrested for trespassing - this is private property. Just because he's not home doesn't mean you get free access - stop stalking the stars and get real jobs! He ought to sue!

23. #22 Oats-I bet you watched the video didn't you? Now if you think it is so bad for them to film this, why the hell did you look at it and how do you know they stalk stars without reading all the stuff they print. ?You are 2 faced and admit it. Get some therapy.Don't be so quick to criticize.

24. Anokie - Actually - you're ALMOST right - I got about 15 seconds into the video and realized what I was watching and the fact that TMZ had to have been trespassing to film this and immediately clicked off and posted my comment. I do watch some of the relevant somewhat news making videos on this site; however, most of their stories are junk and malicious gossip. It's not hard to pick out what's what and I don't like to support trash, gossip and illegal stuff that TMZ and the rest of the paps do. I post comments every now and then to give a real life perspective to this site. If you frequent this site long enough, which, I'm sure that you do - you KNOW that they constantly stalk and harass the stars.

Why do you have a problem with me commenting. Perhaps you're the one that needs therapy. After all - you're being extremely hypocritical - admonishing me not to be critical - yet you are critical of me?!?!?!

25. Ah, all the California haters are back at TMZ, wasting time at their jobs in their cold ass towns that are not in California. We get hot dry winds. We get fire. But our state is THE most beautiful, probably more so than Hawaii. I used to live in the midwest a long time ago and as a proud California with good homes and a good job, I worked very hard to make it and you couldn't pay me enough to go work in your freezing cities and towns. Now get back to the serving your tables because it's lunch hour at Applebee's. As they say: jealous much?

Posted at 2:07PM on Nov 17th 2008 by Jealous Much if you don't live in California?

26. Oats-After reading what you wrote,I apologize. I did say some mean things to you but I did feel like you weren't being fair to TMZ. Yes I do look at some of this stuff and I do comment every now and then. I feel like these people at TMZ have a job to do and sometimes we may not like what they say or do. They put up news about some people because they know they will get bashed ie: Jessica,Hogan kid,Kardashian family,Lohan.Get my drift. These are the ones I respond to because I think the public can be cruel as I thought you were. I am a 61 yr old male and I don't type too fast.Any way, sorry if I was cruel.

28. Um, Lilly? Hurricanes and tornadoes? I've lived in SoCal my entire life (34 years) and never experienced either of those. And what do these fires have to do with earthquakes? And "Santana Winds" don't do anything on their own, it's just wind. What is this person talking about?
