16. Stop defending killing chickens and turkeys to put on our plates. We know where our food comes from. They are simply pointing out the irony that she's there to pardon a turkey as does the president every year all while another turkey gets slaughtered behind her. I guess she pardoned the wrong one.

17. Many Alaskans get their meat mostly by hunting. She (Palin) has said in interviews that just 1 moose and the fish they catch can tide them over almost all winter. They hardly have to go to the store for their meat. Having to ship meat and produce into Alaska is extremely expensive and many Alaskans can't afford it. Now granted, a governors salary could purchase the meat for them, I am sure, but this is the way she was raised. Living in Washington State, my dad supplemented our meat supply by hunting waterfowl. I guess that makes us hicks too. People just ordinarily don't get to see how they actually get their meat.

23. Thanks #16 - apparently people don't know how turkeys and /or animals are killed to feed humans. They think watching a turkey losing it head is sickening - when you think about it, it’s someone’s JOB.

This person is doing his job, what’s the diffence between watching a turkey lose his head or when they show people at the stock exchange butchering up my retirement account. I think that brutal as can be.

I agree with you #2, you people are so stupid. She has been the only real person the country has seen in a long time.

25. I am aware that the turkey and the meat that I eat was once walking. I just don't like to see them killed. I probably would become a vegetarian if I were to see them being slaughtered. As for Sarah Palin.. I REALLY like her. But did she not think that she would get lambasted by the media for this?

30. I believe McCain really did not want to be President and that is why he chose this idiot to be his running mate. He knew he would lose and that's what he wanted. Please Lord, lead Palin back to Alaska and have her stay there. Perhaps you can buy her a subscription to the New Yorker.
