And while I agree it's not fair to criticize someone who hasn't even taken office yet it's down-right stupid to be singing his praises of someone who hasn't even taken office yet.
Not to mention the bashing of Palin is not rationale nor does most of it have any bases in reality. It's mostly speculation and outright lies. Lies which I have a feeling will continue to be circulated by brain-dead morons who have no desire to live in the real world and deal with the issues as they really are. Why bother when you can come here and act all smug and superior, spread lies amongst each other or in some cases amongst yourself (LOL) . It's also obvious that none of you has ever taken debate. Or if you did, you should have gotten an F! In debate, you stick to the facts and respectfully challenge your opponents arguments. I realise I haven't exactly done this but then I never studied debate but I have read about the rules. If someone even pretends to be a scholar than they had better learn to present themselves in a mature, rationale manner.

The desperate over-selling of the "conversion" based argument ( 'I used to be that but I've seen the light and now I'm this and that gives me some authority on the subject) was a glaring clue. The ruse completely fell apart with Teddy's response to my comments, which were, from what I've read on these pages, pure Walle/PolarBear.

321. some of you people can't come up with valid arguments against the points made by those who disagree with you and so you try to avoid the arguments themselves and dismiss the posters as somehow being phonies. this is a typical "ad hominem" fallacy and a sign of the weakness of your own arguments. i'm talking about sassy and harry truman. whether you like it or not, not everyone in this country is a dyed in the wool ideologue of the far left or the far right, and there have been many people who form their political opinions for reasons that would not be considered by these ideologues.
anyway, everyone hides behind handles here, and in that sense, all of us are being phony in a certain way. this doesn't have anything to do with the validity or otherwise of the points we all make here.
i for one would like to see harry truman and sassy and xyz and teddy roosevelt and walle and anyone else who is interested responding to the points that each one is making instead of glibly avoiding dealing with the issues.

I'd also like to mention to everyone that the habit of catagorizing everyone as a wing nut for far left or far right no matter what, is of course wildly inaccurate in terms of reality, but it also prevents the adopter of that manner of thought to be disconnected from learning experiences, from gaining a comprehensive awareness of processes and issues, and of being able to participate in meaningful, quality, progressive debate.

I don't belong to any party and never will. I think the two-party "first past the poll" system we have is ill-equipped to serve democracy or a republic. It discourages democracy and encourages the managing of legal and economic power based on force far more than democracy, and we have a far higher level of corruption in government and corporate culture and a level of apathy in society than what is sustainable. A MAJOR CRASH HAD TO HAPPEN! BRING IT ON, WE NEED OUR COUNTRY BACK!

326. OK Mr. X, I'll bite one last time. I asked an alleged Independent Moderate, philosophically, how he/she could condemn rabid behavior from one side and ignore it from the other side. I half expected an answer in the area of 'I looked at both candidates and chose who I thought was best for the country, and ignored the extreme on both sides'. Not even close. Not only was the question ignored and never answered, the response was an emulation of the traits I was asking about.

At that point writing elements of style and habit caught my attention, and I concluded the writer was one and the same as some other prolific writers.

And now your writing as fallen into the same hole. I don't see where you have responded to any comment I actually made. I also fail to see where I have confronted anybody, and don't see where anybody has had any opportunity to disagree with me, since I have not taken any stand with my question (although some may disagree with my belief that one writer uses many names, I have no interest in arguing my opinion).

So that about wraps it up, Mr. X. I did enjoy your sarcasm and spleen venting, even if it failed to make a relevant point. And I do appreciate you bowing down to my superior intellect. In the interest of fairness, I, humbly and momentarily, bow down to your demonstrated inferior intellect.
