92. Organized dog fights are gorssly cruel. The "fighters" are trained (read: beaten) to the point of their very last nerve, thus making them "perfect" for the match. They are NOT raised or treated as pets. They are only fed because they might make some degenerate money. Do they know any different? No. DOMESTICATED PETS DO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! I cannot imagine how terrified and betrayed each of those dogs felt when thrown into the death-pit Michael Vick built with his own money. Dog fighting is horrendous no matter what. It takes a special breed of twisted paychopath to get so bored of the trained dogs that he wants to see a household pet dog torn to shreds. I DO NOT FOR ONE SECOND BELIEVE THAT MICHAEL VICK WILL BE "REHABILITATED" THE DAY HE WALKS OUT OF PRISON. This poor excuse for a human being will come out with more hate for dogs than he ever had before. After all, dogs he willingly killed put him in jail, so does anyone really believe he loves them now? I pray that his parole has NOTHING TO DO WITH any Humane Society or any contact with animals, PERIOD. In fact, maybe the best punnishment would be a condition that creates a permanent restraining order on him having to stay 150 yards away from any dog. Like a sexual offender, he should have to register as an animal abuser wherever he goes. Losing his multi-million dollar job playing football is not enough pennance for what he did to God's creation, spelled ironically GOD backwards.

93. First of all, I find it VERY offensive that people think that killing dogs is the common practice of people from Virginia. Virginia has a great culture that goes back 400+ yrs. Going from the framers of the constitution to being the FIRST state to have elected an African-American Governor in Douglas Wilder (1989). So when you attack the culture of VA, realize your shortsightedness and general ignorance. Secondly, Michael Vick, a Hokie like myself, has paid his due. He has been in federal prison for over the last 1 1/2 yrs. He is being tried in state court on the SAME charges he is already serving Federal time for in Kansas. Seems a bit like double jeopardy. He isnt being given the luxory that MURDERERS have! Think about that. I dont condone nor do I agree with his actions, but America is all about second chances. When you do your time, you should have the right to make things right. God bless the Commonwealth, Mother of all States. Dec of Independence, Constitution, and finally a blue state. Peace.

Funny, but I have never heard anyone say that. Also, I have not read anything in the forums which suggests that. So how did you come to that conclusion? What you may have heard is that his race has nothing to do with this sick and twisted act. Stupidity comes in all colors.....you are living proof of that. Funny how people like you b/tch and rant about people playing the race card when comments such as yours add a nice breeze to that fire. People like you make it an issue and when it is addressed and confronted you want to play the victim. Man up.

96. 23 months is ridiculous. Whoever sentenced him was clearly not thinking straight. I hate this man, that is a strong word, but my true feelings. I can not comprehend how anyone could inflict pain on a helpless dog or any animal for that matter. It makes me sick to my stomach. The animal cruelty laws need to change, there should be harsher consequences, then maybe people like Vick would start thinking about what they are doing and how WRONG it is. I hope he never place for the NFL again, I don't want to see his face on any publications or advertisements. He should be living on the street!

99. I too, was born and raised in Virginia and this is by no means an accepted practice anywhere. I am embarrassed that MV chose to bring his form of entertainment to 'my' state. I hope he gets another long stretch from the Va. state charges. This whole thing makes me sick to my stomach. Yes, by the time he gets out, he will have 'paid his debt to society' but if the NFL even THINKS about rehiring him-well, I may just have to find another sport to support. This man has some serious sadistic tendencies that won't magically disappear just because he does a stretch in the big house.
And to It's Only a Dog-I certainly hope you are 'petless'. Doesn't sound like any animal would find safety at your house.

Every single NFL football fan should send an email, or a letter to the NFL commissioner to make sure that Michael Vick never, ever plays another down for a football team ever again after what he did to all of those innocent dogs even if they were pit bulls. He did a very cruel and inhumane thing to have those dogs fight each other to their death and even laughing at that as it happened. He doesn't deserve to earn any money doing anything especially playing a sport. I think that he didn't even get a much longer jail sentence than what he really deserved to get. He should've been in jal much, much longer. If any football fans are reading this please pass this along to keep Michael Vick from playing another down in football.
