Hunting is torture to animals legal or not. Many animals are shot, wounded and die a slow painful death for days when
they are able to escape.

And give me a beak, hunting to feed your family represent a small portion of hunters. Do your friends eat bear? One of Virginia’s top gaming? Hunters are in the same category as Vick. Hunters bet on the largest kill, the most points on a deer head and there are even competitions and corporate sponsors in your state.

Those innocent animals die a painful death for fun and your state is one of the biggest supporters.

77. All of you people who are supporting Vick or saying that what he did is the same as hunting (which I also think is barbaric) should remember hunting is legal while dog fighting is not legal anywhere in this country. Don't equate the two because they aren't the same.

78. ............Vick did time @ 9:58 pm...........Hunting is the killing of animals, old age is the killing of animals, drowning in the killing of animals, predation is the killing of animals, diease is the killing of animals,............when the brain is starved of blood, and most importantly glucose, it quits functioning...................and unless you have personally experienced death, you are not the one to state that it is painful or terrible.....................A gun shot or bow shot is faster than being eaten by a larger predator.........once the brain ceases to work properly, nothing else matters...............it is over.............So, Vick killing dogs by slamming them to the ground, probably takes 2/3 slams.............now you tell me which is the slower, a gun shot or a body slam on cement, or being ripped to bits by another dog................Quite comparing hunting to Vick killing...............................Vick killing is inhumane and grossly inhuman..................................

79. It is unconceivable that someone can actually laugh or enjoy an animal crying out in pain and seeing it ripped to shreds.VICK IS AS SICK AS JEFFREY DAHMER - This is how JEFFY BOY started out. I hope that Vick gets his in a big way in or out of jail. When this all came out about Vick, my boyfriend handed me his Falcon Vick jerseys to shred. I wish I had Vick himself instead…..

80. Only a city dweller who is so ignorant that they think their food magically appears at the grocery store would ever compare hunting to this perversion. Real hunters don't take a shot unless they can kill the animal cleanly. I would agree that any wannabe hunters who take any shot they can get are a waste of oxygen. And I don't get the comparison to domestic violence. Of course that is wrong, but adults have a choice to stay or leave and the ability to speak for themselves. These animals had no choice and no voice. Some of us feel obligated to speak for them, no matter how irritating that may be to those who don't get the extent of the evil it took for him to do this. The way he carried himself throughout the proceedings is also a topic of concern. The man clearly has no shame. He always looked quite proud of himself. He would do it again in a heartbeat if he thought he could get away with it, and he would enjoy it.

81. People seem to be fixated on this horrible thing that Vick has done without giving him any credit for the positive things that he has done in his life. He's given back a lot to his home community and to VT to build those areas. There are people here who see the value in him. He got caught up with poor influences and exercised very poor judgement. And this man has paid hugely for this horrid mistake. He is nearly financially ruined. He has been humiliated himself. He has accepted responsibility, gone to jail and played by the rules. It's now time to move on. He deserves the right to earn a living. And I would think that he's learned a huge lesson. Maybe he can become a better role model than anyone could for this cause - he's learned the downside harder than anyone in history. He's been treated worse than someone who'd murdered people....

90% of hunters do it as a sport or becasue they are rednecks. Grocery food comes from farms. Animals are farmed from slaughter. A deer sipping water at that creel to get it's head blown off so some Bobby Joe can replace the old head over the fireplace and drink his Past Blue Ribbon while telling Jimmy Joe how he skilfully snuck up on on the deer and got the kill, really isn't that much diferecnt them dog fighting. How about the glorified bull fighting???

It is the flavor of the day, hang vick. Whatever!
