David vs. Goliath on "DWTS" Set

There was an explosion of anger a few days ago on the "Dancing with the Stars" set.

Our sources say it all went down when the remaining professionals and celebs were rehearsing for the group dance that aired last night. Warren Sapp showed up several hours late for rehearsal. When Sapp finally arrived mid-rehearsal, he began complaining he was having a hard time following the routine.

Several dancers complained back that it was Warren's own fault for getting there late. At that point, Sapp snapped, throwing Derek Hough against the wall. Now get this -- all 97 pounds of Derek wouldn't back down.

We're told there was a stand-off in the dance room until they both cooled off and went back to rehearsing.

UPDATE: Derek tells TMZ, "This has been blown way out of proportion. Warren and I exchanged a few words at rehearsal that lasted seconds. The idea that Warren would do physical harm to me or anyone is outrageous. We've all become good friends during the season."

34. I've never seen the slightest sign of charisma in Warren Sapp. He can't dance, isn't cute or charming, I don't get it. Of course, I LOVE Derek!!!! Lance was so much better than Warren....I just don't get it.

36. Sapp should never have come in 2nd, Lance was way better than him. I think all the Obama supporters just voted for him because he was black. And all the blacks voted against Lance because they are homophobs, I mean the homos are calling them the dreaded N word and Rosie is calling them ignorant and nothing is being said about it. Even the unbiased TMZ IS SAYING NOTHING ABOUT IT! Face it since Obama was elected even Michael Jackson wants to be black again.

37. Anyone who lives here in the Tampa Bay area knows how big an A-hole Warren Sapp really is. It was really no surprise how he pulled the wool over the judges eyes with his "big teddy bear" ways.

39. Warren Sap should´ve have been voted out from the 2nd week I guess, right after Ted McGinley, then Cloris Leachman. DWTS this year was full of crap, first for Warren having gone to the finals when it was obvious that Lance and Cody deserved to be there, 2nd and 3rd. Also, for Toni Braxton to have been sent home so soon before Cloris, r u kidding me? That old lady couldn´t dance to anything, just like Warren, his partner Kim was doing all the dancing. Ok, now what charisma is people talking about, I didn´t see any of it. Dancing, this show is about dancing, not about popularity, and for those who enjoy watching it, for our sake I hope the producers don´t end up screwing it. I believe Derek and Brooke were the fair winners, their freestyle was amazing as their other dances most of the shows.

41. Hey folks..............I just tuned in last night only because i saw commerials of the final show. I too could not again belive that sapp was even an after thought. Just a simple thug. I use to really enjoy the show until the year emmet won. I vowed after that i would never watch again. Don't get my wrong I actually like emmet as a person, and he came a long way in dancing and was actually pretty good, and his smile was just infectious, but there was no way on God's green earth that he beat that other guy, i think his name was tony. He was not only a great , sexy dancer, he was hot, handsome, sexy and clearly the winner . Just my opinion. Anyway , other than a peek he and there i stopped watching. They just keep having these nfl players that really can't dance, and everyone makes a fuss over. I mean come on. look at Jerry Rice, great guy, but come on, look at that sleaze with that illerate show, springer.

42. Whatever any of you twinkle toes may think of Warren, please go out and get a Superbowl winner's ring like he did before you knock him. Then go out and try to learn some very advanced dance steps. He wasn't clumsy nor was he some kind or winged twinkle toed kind of man like most of you writers seem to be. He led a life of violence and sports before the DWTS gig. Perhaps he should not have advanced as far as he did but that was up to the judges and the public, not you nor me. I am not his biggest fan but he deserves our respect for all he has done with his life.

43. Sapp is a big, fat, ugly, bully! He cannot dance and go figure how he stayed in so long. He has no rythem and acts like he is really good; he is not! He should have gone home right from the beginning. If these things keep happening DWTS will lose a lot of viewers.
