17. WOW! You people have all missed the big picture. TMZ stated "Since being diagnosed in 1998, Ferraro has been living with multiple myeloma, which is cancer of the plasma cells." This is remarkable! Multiple myeloma effects the entire body, as it is blood cancer. Rather than all the negative comments focused on looks, we should rejoice in the fact that cancer research has progressed to the point that someone is able to live an active life for 10 plus years after diagnosis.

I got to sit next to her on a SFO to JFK flight...She was a very nice and gracious lady... and she said how much she loved coming to "our city" San Francisco.. that it was so beautiful and everyone was so nice.... she was very genuine and sincere... she even let told her security guard to let me by so I could speak to her and shake her hand.
AWESOME and classy.

Ironic they give our new President elect bad wishes when we as the people would be the ones to suffer for it in the long run. 23. Dear Backoff: THANK YOU for a brilliant post. My spouse's Aunt was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma around the same time as Geraldine Ferraro. She had all kinds of treatments but passed away 5 years ago ! To the other posters out there bashing on this woman, you're acting like morons.

25. Wow.. All this nastiness from the right, and for what? I agree with the posters who expressed their joy at the fact that she is living with the type of cancer she has, and the fact that she is/ always has been a very classy lady.
The problem with Palin (not the only one, but fitting here) is that there is no way she could ever be taken seriously. Not by liberals, and not by the intelligent half of the republican party either. Alot of this has to do with her looks, as her intellect has yet to present itself. Yea it's all cute and funny for TMZ to call Ferraro sexy, but earlier this month a scary number of people voted for Sarah Palin "the hot chick".. It's actually quite nauseating to think that you republicans ripping on Hillary's pantsuits, or Nancy Pelosi (for what?) are actually concerned with their looks.. I'll take brains over beauty any day in reguards to government.
