Vick -- Smirkin' Like a Guilty Dog

Michael Vick just pleaded guilty to a dogfighting charge in Virginia -- and he's still smilin'.

Vick's three-year sentence on state charges will be suspended. He may be able to get an early release from his Federal sentence -- still unresolved.

BTW -- for a guy who's been locked up for the last 11 months, Vick looks pretty damn fresh and clean.

181. .....Vick supporters.........Lets try something different.............Without calling each other a list of adjectives..............Can the supporters try thinking in a different light for a minute?.......................Dog abuse is a horrible thing to consider.................It would be interesting to know the statistics of how many people abused dogs in the last 100 years...........Abused meaning whatever the standard for society................Is there more or less this year?.................Mankind has progressed, albeit slowly, from the 11th century to the 21st century.....to speed things up.........will you try thinking of dog abuse as something that is totally unacceptable to society in general?............The facts of the case state that Vick did indeed, do those things...........that being said, If it is against the law for dog fighting and the general society does not condone dog fighting, and the general society will eventually stop dog abuse, will you consider, for a minute that what Vick did was totally wrong?.......................You don't have to answer...........just think about it for a minute..............Progress will be made.........but it would help if one supporter changed their thinking about what Vick did..................Maybe all of us can speed up less dog abuse...................

182. Hi Max61.
"So, what do they use for their judgement?..............."
My guess would be the belief that the only species that matters and has rights is Homo sapiens and that non-human creatures exist only to provide amusement for man"kind".
Best regards.
Cornelius.

183. "158. HEY, COMMON INTERNET RULE = ALL CAPS MEANS YOU ARE SHOUTING & IT MAKES YOU LOOK AS DUMB AS VICK."
Don't sweat it. These mega-morons probably think that big letters compensate for small minds. And/or small mickeys.

184. ..................Hello Cornelius..............I guess everyone has lost interest in this story........we will have to wait till the next episode...........when they release Vick to a half way house..............or they find out more stories not yet released.............I keep writing Roger Goodell at the NFL office to state my opinion of Vick.........that the NFL does not need Vick.............ever.............

185. I think people in general should really take a step back and think about this for a minute. Those are your views one way or the other as to how you feel about the crimes Vick comitted. Personally I think the whole thing was blown out of proportion and he should not have done any jail time. He should have paid a fine and let that been that. I have been deer hunting and I have to tell you that is a lot more vicious to animals than what Vick did.

186. ............Cedric @ 1:50 pm..............Cedric, no it is not.......Vick has been doing these things for Six years that we know about for sure, as to public records,............there is a hint by his mother that this has been part of Vick's life for a longer time..............Dog abuse is much more horrific than deer hunting..............no comparison.............Go to the top of the page and type in Michael Vick and click search...........that will take you to the TMZ Michael Vick list of stories page.............Click the top left that is the Michael Vick UPDATES page by the Atlanta newspaper............that will take you to the Atlanta newspaper page.............It will display 40/50 stories about Vick...............If you read all those stories you will get a more clear picture of Vick............Breaking 14/15 laws is one thing.............Killing dogs for fun money and laughs is one thing............having children in his particular manner is one thing...............lying to the world to hide his activities is one thing.............Vick does not deserve any of all that he wasted.................No NFL.................no Vick..............

Posted at 6:11PM on Dec 11th 2008 by Max61

187. ...............Cedric @ 1:50 pm..................All the stories listed on the Atlanta newspaper page.......are not "archived" there......the top left several stories are accessible there.........I cannpt imagine what goes on in a person's mind like Vick......................While he was doing his football thing, he was also doing his dog fighting thing.............and all the horrific things also..............You would have thought that being in the NFL and all it entails, would have been enough to keep him busy studying and getting prepared each day...........but no, he was more interested in killing dogs for fun and money and impressing his buddies with his bravado and access to money.......................That is a vulgar and indecent and inhuman mind..............I hope he never returns to the NFL................ever

188. "Personally I think the whole thing was blown out of proportion and he should not have done any jail time." Of course. We all know that deadbrained "celebrities" are above the law.
"He should have paid a fine and let that been that." Yes. After all his victims were ONLY ANIMALS, ONLY DOGS (not shouting, merely quoting another moronic supporter of animal abusing human garbage).
"I have been deer hunting and I have to tell you that is a lot more vicious to animals than what Vick did." So? By your "logic" murder by firearm is less of a crime than murder by edged weapon because chances are that the former is less pain ful than the latter. By the way, did you get off on seeing the deer suffer?

189. Perhaps Vick and his adoring acolytes should take heed of the old adage: What goes around comes around. Anyone remember Gerald McClellan.?

190. ...........Hello Cornelius @ 10:05 pm.............It was supriseing that the District Attorney for Surrey Co. VA. one Gerald Poindexter......actually stated out loud that he thought the Feds went after Vick because of some pet owners and because Vick was a black man..........and Poindexter is an elected official..............No, actually, the Feds went after Vick because Va wasn't doing their job........Vick could have received two five year sentences if Va. had prosecuted in the first place..............Poindexter dropped animal cruelity which carried 5 year sentence and gave Vick suspended sentence and wants him back in the NFL............unbelievable................I hope enough letters and e-mails show up to sway Roger Goodell................but he hasn't banned him for life just yet.............doesn't look promising..................

191. Hi Max61.

192. .................Hello Cornelius.@ 4:24 am......I would assume TMZ has a program that looks for certain words in a post, I can't imagine that someone actually reads all this stuff..........then makes a judgement and delets.............It is hard to tell sometimes...................Roger Goodell once stated that he received 300K letters and emails when the Vick story started..........I guess it will take several more emails to sway him this time.............With all that the NFL is involved in, I can't see what the hold up is, on banning Vick for life.........The NFL does not need this kind of publicity..............Author Blank I believe, still holds Vick's contract and therefore wants to sell it to someone...............So, I assume that Roger Goodell and Arthur Blank talk it over and decide that Blank needs to make back some money and tells Goodell.........don't ban Vick for life, I can't sell the contract...................So, they both just sit and wait and watch...............now it is coming down to Vick applying for re-instatement and Goodell will have to move off dead center I assume..........................So, I keep writitng Goodell in hopes that gambling, lying, convicted felon, and most of all, animal cruelity is enough for Goodell's lawyers to finally say, Ok, Roger, you can ban with no worry of legal problems from Vick's attorny, because of Contract with Blank...................The only thing that Goodell has, to use as a reason for the ban is,........public opinion...........Goodell can't make the call himself for legal reasons from Blank..............or he could have done it before now.................So, I write and write...........................
