49. For all of you who have commented on Michael Vick, needing to spend the rest of his life in prison, and or needs to die because of his actions towards animals, are in my own opinion a complete joke.

In some countries fighting animals is legal and considered acceptable. Now, I understand that dog fighting is illegal in America and I myself don't condone it. However, Michael Vick in my opinion received a fairly harsh punishment for his actions. Lets not forget people, he was not harming children and or human life, he was harming an animal. I own a dog myself and we all know we have accepted dogs on a higher level than most animal species. However, a dog is still an animal and Michael Vick only harmed an animal.

Now here is the part I find myself laughing at during his case. The people that were prosecuting Michael Vick are the same people who believe it is acceptable to murder an unborn child. So let me get this straight... It is acceptable to take away the life of an unborn child but, harming an animal is a serious action that some feel should be punishable by death.

52. Anyone who thinks the NFL will keep Vick out of the league is ignorant. Pacman Jones anybody? He did a crime, did way too much time and some NFL team desperate for a quarterback (and some butts in the seats) will pick him up. The NFL could care less about someone's dogfighting activities until it has an impact on their bottom line. There are plenty franchises out there who's quarterbacks are lame ducks or on their last legs, Vick will get a shot. If he wins all will be forgotten and the endorsements will return, if he loses, and especially if he messes up again he will be villanized beyond the appropriate amount and will probably be relegated to being the poster boy of unrealized potential. But don't be fooled, he will play in the NFL again.

55. he will play again, yes. but his marketability and value are WAY down. he can forget about endorsements...people do not look up to a celebrity who is proven malicious and abusive...any reputable company is not going to make the mistake of signing Vick to represent its brand. there are too many celebrities that do good and have more of a positive impact than some animal abuser. i would not support this man or what he stands for in any way. and the majority of americans with a heart feel the same way...screw him.

60. Thinks Michael Vick should be able to join the NFL! He has served time. People make mistakes and should get a second chance. Lord knows that I have made mistakes and was given a second chance. What he did to those animals was bad, but it's over and we all need to get over it...People who kill people, rape, etc....should not get a second chance, but Michael Vick in my opinion (which I am allowed) should be able to play in the NFL again and I hope someone will give him that chance!
