63. I don't really think that is a smirk. What is there to smirk about? He is broke , has lost his respect and if he does play again his career will not be the same. It is time to let it go guys. They do let you get a haircut and shower before court. Mike is just very handsome and he can not help that. I think the the best way to spin this negative into a positve is to let him back into the NFL, give a big chunk of his earings to PETA or the Humane Society and eduacte young children about animal cruelty and dogfighting. I think he should maybe help out and some shelters, etc. I DO NOT condone dogfighting and I DO NOT condone animal cruelty. I believe dogs have feelings just like people and are man's best friend. I DO believe in second chances though. We have all done something big or small and have recieved a second chance.

Wants to plead "guilty" so he can get it over and go on and play w/the NFL??????? Is he for real?????? 71. He and his brother belong in prison. When he get's out it will only be a matter of time before he returns. Both of the idiots thought they could get by with whatever because of who they are. You can't get by with fighting dogs, not filing tax returns, sleeping with underage girls, traffic violations, drugs, waving your gun at McDonalds, just because you can throw a fricken football. 73. Let’s assume that, after today’s events, Michael Vick is released from a prison this winter as is now expected. If he is, then the hope here is that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell would reinstate Vick.

And if Goodell reinstates Vick, the hope then is that would-be protesters would leave the fallen quarterback alone and go after someone who hasn’t already been sufficiently punished.

Already there are signs this could happen. At Tuesday’s hearing in Sussex, Va., there were only eight PETA protesters spotted in the crowd. Compared to the hundreds on hand at Vick’s previous public court dates, the spotlight and scrutiny has shifted. As it should.

Vick lost his job, his contract, his money, his standing, his reputation. He lost everything, and with good reason. Nobody ever should engage in the egregious acts Vick did. He embarrassed himself, his family, the Falcons, the league — too many to count. But Vick has served his time. He paid for his crime.

If and when the courts decide that Vick has been punished enough, it should be enough for everyone -– Goodell, PETA, other protesters and NFL teams.
