Axl Rose Gunning for Dr Pepper

Axl Rose is accusing Dr Pepper of doing the same thing he did for nearly 17 years: Screwing people out of what they were promised.

Rose is accusing Pepper of profiting off the Guns N' Roses name, after the soda company's website malfunctioned during their free Dr Pepper giveaway on Sunday. The 20 oz. handouts were a promise made by Pepper if "Chinese Democracy" ever hit the shelves.

Axl's lawyers are demanding full-page apologies in four major newspapers, an extended period of time to collect on the free suds and payment for unauthorized use the GN'R name.

17. Alrighty then back to the point. I got the coupon on the limited Sunday. It took numerous tries. It was in all the papers and if the site crashed (due to an overload) then he is right they need to extend it. As for my personal opinion on Axl.

21. Their website didn't work on Monday either. I don't care for Dr Pepper but my grandson loves it and I was trying to get the free bottle for him. Such a rip off! I think they knew it wasn't working on Monday when they extended the time on Sunday to Monday.

First of all, this pic is from 2001 he has changed so much since then, and I doubt any of you look any better than he does. Second to everyone who says Chinese Democracy sucks must be deaf from listening to crap like miley cirus or the jonah brothers (which shouldn't even be called music), because this is one of the greatest cd's of all time and if you took one minute to actually listen to it you might actually like it instead all of you worry about a soda. You act like he owes you something, he owes you NOTHING so show some f**king respect!!!

26. I agree with Axl on this one. It was impossible to get on the Dr. Pepper website to get the free soda coupon. They should fix it. If you make an offer, then don't hide behind, my little website would not take the volume and collapsed.
I have to wonder if Dr. Pepper killed their own website, so they would not have to keep their commitment.

27. What's with all you bonehead paranoids? ANY website can be crashed by volume. It's even happened to YouTube, who's entire business IS a website. The idea that Dr. Pepper would back out of this is stupid. The cost of bailing would far exceed the cost of giving away the soft drink. What would have been the point of the alleged advertising, only to crap on it? And don't for a second think that Axl is a poor honest victim here, or that he gives a rats ass if you get a Dr. Pepper. It's about money, for him.

30. Possible reasons why Axl is upset....

Axl must not have been able to get into the website to get his FREE one?

CD sales must not have been as good as Axl had planned on opening day?

Axl knew the website would crash and had a back up plan to sue to get extra revenue when it did?

Axl and Dr. Pepper are in together on this to keep his CD and Dr. Pepper names out there?

Final thought...
Chinese Democracy sucks! why buy it when you can listen to the entire cd free on his myspace page!!
