"Twilight" Starlet -- Toke of the Town

Kristen Stewart is getting smoked out big-time, and not just because of her little pipe-scapade the other day.

"Twilight" star Stewart is being taken to task by TV and print press, says the Chicago Sun-Times, because of "difficulties getting [her] to handle even the most basic questions about her role or the film." One reporter complained, "It's not like we were delving into her personal life."

Even the director of the flick admits to EW Kristen has "had a lot of trouble [with interviews] ... it's not her favorite part of the job." We suspect we know what is.

17. you gotta be kidding me! she has never liked doing interviews. watch her old interviews and you'll see what i'm saying. her job starts and ends in the production of the films. promoting them, is like those tasks in your job you do but you don't like it. she's a private person, i totally get her.

18. Awww poor little baby ... hmmm she got $2 million for Twilight, and will now get $12 million plus a portion of the box office profits for New Moon. I *really* feel sorry for her having to answer a few questions coherently and with enthusiasm to promote a film that employed hundreds of people, not just her. Jeeze - Robert is managing to put a little effort in, why can't she? I like the books and the movie, but seriously, the girl is starting to piss me off.

19. Then, if she doesn't like doing interviews or is extremely private, then DON'T do interviews. But isn't that part of the gig when you do a movie? If the people who provided you the opportunity to act in their movie needs for you to promote your work, don't half @ss it.

20. Beth, did you post this last comment? Anyway, I do see Kristen's point of being "nervous" during interviews..this movie has exploded in the theatres. But, let's be honest, interviews are part of the job and should be handled seriously and professionally. All the cast members owe a debt of gratitude to Stephenie Meyers for without her they would still be working on "small-time" roles and not be known to anyone. So, come on cast, get it together and prove to us TwilightFans you are worthy of portraying our fav characters!!! PS Twilight is not a hard read and Bella's character really is "every girl" as defined by Kristin in her MuchMusic interview so should not be hard to answer questions about said character in an interview!!

22. 18 or not back yard or not it is still a crime to posses pot. Lame law yes but someone needs to slap her up side the head and say its not OK. But whats worse hittin the pipe in your back yard or not washing your hair for weeks on end and going out drinking every night. Both those kids need someone to help them cope with the crazyness that is their lives.

23. she's a little cranky, but crap, she's only 18 and seems sorta awkward and stuff. It's painful to watch her stumble over her answers every interview-thank god Robert Pattinson's got that hair and smile and giggly way about him to distract everyone else...lol

24. I get she's young and this may be hard for her for various reasons. But sometimes you just gotta buck up, especially with the paychecks the girls getting now. You look at Robert Pattinson in comparison, and he's awkward as heck too to watch half the time. lol And yet, he's a good sport at least and hoes it out for his picture. He's everywhere, being slightly awkward and bumbling but at least being a good sport. When you are making that kinda bank, it's time to grow up and do your job I think.

25. This is so funny because when they showed outtakes of the cast during shooting, I swear, Robert always looked like Kristen's b*tch!lol Like he was just falling over himself trying to keep a conversation going and she'd just stand there completely unresponsive and then he'd get more nervous and then try harder....lol They didn't know they were being shot during the prom scene between takes and it was the funniest thing.

I think it sums up the two stars basically. kristen is more talented and seasoned of the two acting wise, and robert is more a newbie. But he seems more personable while she seems somewhat scary as heck...

Oh, well, I don't need her to be my bff though, I like her as bella.

26. I think it's strange she is being picked on for what she does at home and now her interviews. She did a fantastic job in Twilight along with many other movies. Giving a good interview I imagine might need experience and coaching. She is on the ride of her life right now. I hope she starts getting the support she deserves. Young Hollywood actors are under a lot of pressure and can make some terrible mistakes. I hope she will not make the same but she doesn't need the pressure of unrealistic expectations. I also think there is a great deal of jealousy for the success she has had in her young career.

27. Just leave her the hell alone. We have no right to judge her on anything she does. she is a relatively inexperienced actress who has never really had a movie be a big success. It has got to be a difficult transition from relative obscurity to major stardom. Give her a few more months and i am sure she will become a pro at interviews. And if she has a drug problem, i am sure that her handlers or parents are on top of getting her help, now that she has a burgeoning acting career. Give her some time to adjust people and lay off, focus on your life more, not hers.

28.
One thing she should work on though is being more gracious when being interviewed with Robert. They seem like genuine friends; and yet, he'll praise her to the moon. And then when it's her time to comment on him, she totally cuts him down. It's always excruciating to watch, because you can tell he admires her professionally, so he hangs on her every word when she is commenting on him. :And I don't think she means to be rude, but she'll say some seriously rude things!ha. Maybe she can try a little harder to be more polite in the future.

You know what else I noticed? She's much more comfortable with interviews when NIkki Reed is by her side. I say pair her up with Nikki whenever possible, because Nikki seems to lighten her up. when she's paired with Robert, she seems realy nervous and self conscious, so cut that pairing down as much as possible.

29. I think she needs to extend herself more in interviews too, it's just the professional thing to do. BUT, I think it's sorta mean how people are totally dumping on her while worshipping Robert! I worship Robert personally, don't get me wrong. But it's not Kristen's fault if she's not as cuddly and adorable as Robert is in interviews. He's quite charming, and so I think people are judging her too harshly in comparison to how good Robert comes off, with his mischievous school boy charm.

30. They should just replace her with someone who is willing to do the work. Booo hoo, she's only 18? Isn't that the age of adulthood? Grow the F up.
