83. It seems to me if you make your career as a singer, then you should sing live. Lip syncing is not singing and the audience is being cheated. Dancers can't fake their performances. Comedians can't lip sync their jokes. Actors have to act. So why does Britney get away with lip syncing?

You've raised a good point, but a number of performers lip sync, and it doesn't seem to affect their popularity. I don't recall that talent, brains, good morals, or emotional stability ever had much to do with popularity, although I can't explain why that is. But even though we can't explain it, it's still the way things are. Just look at Britney, who still has popularity despite her lack of all four of these things.

86. Look at it this way.. Britney isn't a singer, she's part of something that might be called a Performance Package. This package consists of music, video, dancing, voice, and a central character who supplies the branding.. in this case Britney is the central character. What sells is the way the whole package is put together, not just the singing or the dancing or the performance of any one of the participants. Britney is a brand and as long as all the people behind the scenes and the dancers and actors in front of the camera work together as one package, this Britney brand will sell. She doesn't have to actually sing or dance or anything, as long as the whole package works and the brand continues to sell.. and in Britney's case it still seems to have profit potential.

90. I would imagine the lipsyncing is her managers idea. Then tend to want to control everything. I personally think she should take 5 years off, spend time with he kids. Its not like she needs the money.
