Brit Performs, French Surrender

Britney's Lip Synch Tour of '08 raged on today with another performance of "Womanizer," this time for the folks in France -- and the Frenchies went frickin' crazy!

The arm dancing was slightly improved but there was one big difference: The crowd. Listen to 'em roar!

91. I think she's still throwing up and taking laxatives.

92. Well, ark, you certainly don't seem to like it when some of us are going after the haters here. From your responses, it's clear that you are supporting and defending those haters. So you, too, are now on the record for not being able to come up with any justification for this hate, and you, too, are earning contempt for the position you are taking.

Oh, and I'm not the same person as the ones you mention. I know one of them personally, outside of this forum (can you guess which one? hahaha), but I have no idea who the others are.

But really, it doesn't matter whether one or ten or a hundred people are coming against the haters, and you know it. Their hate is still contemptible, as is your defence of it.

93. Is the French Surrender of 1940 really acceptable material for jokes ?

Civilian deaths : 267 000
Military deaths : 217 000

Military war dead include 150,000 regular forces(1939-40 Battle of France 92,000; 1940-45 on Western Front (World War II) 58,000); 20,000 French resistance fighters and 40,000 POWs in Germany.[2,60-65] There were an additional 5,000 military deaths in French Indochina.[16,414-15] The pro-German Vichy France forces lost 2,653 killed.[16,582] Vadim Erlikman, a Russian historian, estimates losses of Africans in the French Colonial Forces at about 22,000.[3,83-99] French deaths in German Army (30-40,000), mostly men conscripted in Alsace-Lorraine, are not included in these totals.
Civilian losses include 120,000 killed due to military action and 230,000 victims of the Nazi reprisals and genocide(including 83,000 Jews).[2,60-65]The genocide of Roma people was 15,000 persons.[13,183]Jewish Holocaust victims totaled 83,000.[14,244]

97.
Who is this person who keeps going on about "haters" on this thread? What's this person's problem? Does he/she think that only "nice" things can be said about Britney? I am completely neutral about Britney, and I don't care if she exists or not. I was in entertainment for 25 years and have seen many "flash in the pans" just like her. She was once a strong money draw, but she is not now. She is the the only one who can be held responsible for the end of her career. She is an adult with two small children, who is not trusted to be alone with them because of unreported harm she has caused them. Her children seem to be low on her list of priorities, and it is correct that Kevin has 100% custody of them. All that is going on now is the "testing of the waters" to see if a "BRITNEY TOUR" will be profitable for investors. If she can not deliver her "product" to make millions for the investors, then her career is over. If her career is over, the sad thing is that I don't think that she will want to be a full time mother to her sons.

98. Britney is keeping pop music alive. There aren't many pop artists that can score #1 on Billboard's "Hot 100" anymore. Madonna can't even do it anymore. But Britney can. "Womanizer" went to #1 and "Gimme More" went to #3. Thankfully American Idol is helping to popularize pop music. Jordin Sparks scored twp Top 10 pop hits on the "Hot 100", and a third single climbed to #17. She's releasing a 4th single, "Permanent Monday" which will probably land in the Top 10. Of course, Kelly Clarkson had a string of pop hits as well.

99. I doubt if many of the "haters" that post on here actually Hate Britney. Yea, I am sure there are some people
who sit in their rooms with their Britney Voodoo Dolls and try and put curses on Britney, but I hope at least,
most people do not really hate her.
As far as lip syncing, it does take some talent. Try it yourself, it is not as
east as it looks.
As far as dancing and singing, unless a person is in great shape and has incredible lung power
it is almost impossible to do for any amount of time.
And finally, I believe the French declared war on the Germans in World War 2 as was required by a treaty they had
with Poland. I usually try and be succinct in my postings so sorry if I made too many points and rambled.

100. i think the performance was great, it's not a song you would do a lot of dancing to anyway, she is just getting started and this is a good performance, i think she still has it to give a great dance performance if she chooses to do so but this is just the beginning and a good one at that, she looks great. The Germans reception was not overly enthusiastic because they were mostly all old farts in the audience, go back and have a look, not many young people there. No wonder she chose to promote oversea's first, if the negative comments here are are any indication American's they sure love to tear people down by the sounds of it, i'm glad i don't live there.

101. ery disappointed by TMZ’s French Bashing. By referring to the 1940 surrender to describe some pop culture news, TMZ is showing utter contempt and disdain for a people and their history. To the French, the 1940 surrender is as funny as 9/11 is to Americans. Please show some cultural understanding the next time you wish to write something about France or the French.

102. OK, I was there last night, and have to admit that I was very disappointed with Britney's poor performance, lip synching and lack of respect. The show she appeared on is the largest TV production in Europe, and the French answer to American Idol, and features incredible guests each season. Among them, Rihanna, Beyonce, Pussicat Dolls, Celine Dion, Lenny Kravitz, Mariah Carey, and Madonna. All of them, huge stars and outstanding performers, were kind enough to share their songs and interact with the show's wannabee singers, except for Madonna (although she was gracious enough to speak to them and give them advice). So why wouldn't Britney want to share a song with them? Because she can't sing and her voice is so heavily processed on her albums that singing live is a big no-no, let alone share a song with a wannabee singer who's got a fabulous voice........Imagine Jordin Sparks sharing a duet with Britney.....it would have ridiculed Britney. She was also totally unprofessional during her post-performance short interview with the show's host. She still has a long way ahead of her to go back to where she was, if that ever happens.
this being said, I also have a message for #3, #18 and #35....get yourself a passport and come visit France before making intellectually challenged comments about the country and it's citizens. You're no better than us, believe me!

103. Thanks for all the comments agains the French...If Britney is coming first in Europe, it's simply because here we do not care abouth her personal life and all the stuff around it as you do in the US.
We love her, and even if the show was not as good as she did before, she was really welcome in France.
Britney seems to be more relax outside the US, don't you think so??
We are here on TMZ.com to read news about the person we like, not to make war between nationalities.
Thanks.

Yeah, almost too hard to the point where she might as well actually sing. I mean, since that is her career and all. But oh well, silly for her fans to want her to actually sing, with her being a SINGER and all.
