The 68-year-old loose cannon resurfaced at some event, looking like she could use a gay best friend.

After a boycott of orange juice was started due to the negative publicity surrounding her political campaigning, Anita's contract with the Florida Citrus Commission was not renewed. In 1998, Miami re-authorized an ordinance protecting individuals from discrimination based on sexual orientation.

Despite being a devout evangelical Christian, Anita divorced her first husband in 1980.

97. Say what you want about her. All I know is that after watching her on TV one day my brother went home and hung himself. I will never forgive her or Jerry Farwell or any of those hate mongers. My brother was a kind and gentle, honest and compassionate man. Those days must stop and now we have this idiot Pat Boon comparing gays to terroists in India. I just won't put up with it. I don't want to see anymore young ppl going that way. Love is the only answer. That's what my church preaches and and I know in my heart that Christ would have us do..........love first and judge last. Peace.

101. I was hoping that there would be some redemption in this story, that maybe after all these years of hate she had possibly mellowed or reconciled herself with reality. The picture says nothing. Does she regret her hate? Has she changed? It's been 25 years.

104. Nobody here is really old enough to know anything about Anita Bryant. Other than orange juice commercials does anyway know anything else about her?
