Being sexy is part of the Britney brand. There's a certain image that's being conveyed, and this is what sells concert tickets and albums -- not her talent or dancing abilities or singing voice. It would be as damaging to the Britney brand for her to sing a normal song in a regular dress as it would be for all the members of the Cleveland Orchestra to dress up like pimps and whores and prance around on stage doing hip-hop.
