5. These mini concerts should be looked at like raiding parties. She goes to a country, appears on a show to boost its ratings, turns in a stupid lip-synching "performance", collects her check, and is off to the next victim. The audience is interested because they are hoping to see a meltdown. She's a "circus" all right--a sideshow freak.

6. I hate the fact that she gets praise for doing nothing more than lip synching and waving her arms around when there are actual artists that perform live and can manage to put on a great show. This train wreck does not deserve any more attention.

7. Hi Britney Haters! Like it or not the pop princess is back! You can call her performance lip syncing or whatever else nasty you want to say about it, but guess what? She is making more money than you ever will. She has to entertain and perform to keep her kids in diapers because her loser ex can't get a job and take care of his family. We, her fans will buy her records and all this hater publicity just sells more records! Keep it up haters, the more you hate the more awards she will win. Britney rules!!!!!!!!!!!

8. Just like I said in another post the other day, the press (news media) is just building her up so they can tear her down. The media (news) knows she is unstable and can crack at any time. I really thought the media was going to keep building her up for another couple of months before they stared to tear her down, but, I saw this morning, when I Googled, that they are already starting to tear her down now. Lot's of stories about how she lip-synched, and how she is going crazy again already. I will post, in a new post below, one of the articles that was on Google talking about how she is already having breakdowns at home. And Jamie Lynn was contemplating suicide about a week ago. It's not a matter of weather the stories are true (they may be a lot of lies); it is that the media is trying to break Britney now. I also agree with the posters above. It is way too early for Britney to be touring and to have all that pressure on her. She is going to break down again because of the greed and selfishness of Larry and all the people around her that want more money off of her. And as for a major world tour, well that is just going to kill her. She can hardly walk around and lip-synch t one song on stage right now, 20 songs a night for months to come is just not going to happen, she will break big time!

Britney Spears is on the comeback trail, and reports indicate that the pressure might be getting to be too much for the Louisiana native. The singer, who turns 27 on December 2nd., has been working hard to get her body and voice into good enough shape to take on the rigors of a world tour, but signs of strain are appearing.

Insiders close to the celebrity say that Britney has endured two relatively bad "incidents" in recent weeks that call into question her ability to perform. After her son Jayden became ill during a visit she was supervising, Britney fell into a "mini breakdown," according to a source.

"After that, she didn't want to return to California to bring the boys home," the source said. "She just crumbled. Jamie Lynn found her crying and did everything she could to comfort her."

After this incident, Britney Spears traveled back to the mansion she shares with her father, Jamie Spears, in sunny Los Angeles. Once there, she had a worse incident that could have ended up with her being hospitalized.

"She was acting irrationally, screaming and frantically cleaning", says the insider. "The she told her dad that she was going on another vacation alone to clear her head."

Jamie told her she couldn't go. This caused Britney to break down worse.

"She locked herself in the bathroom, and Jamie tried to knock down the door," the insider continued. "Britney was screaming 'I hate you, I'm a prisoner. I just want to live a normal life.'"

Her tantrum continued unabated for a period of time, before she finally calmed herself down and avoided another public trip in an ambulance.

As her career gets back on track, like it has with the success of her Womanizer video, incidents like this might become more common as Britney is called upon to perform more regularly, and more responsibilities are placed on the singer.

I’m worried how much Britney Spears is being bigged up by everyone of late.
Her miming and not-show-stopping dancing on the X Factor yesterday wasn’t particularly exceptional - but she got a standing ovation from The X Factor’s judge. She’s received similar reactions whenever she’s performed or appeared recently and her MTV VMAs & MTV Europe Awards successes seemed a little too easy.
I appreciate that she’s not had a great few years and she’s been battling some demons, and I, as much as anyone, want her to get back on top mentally (I’m not so bothered about her professional comeback but if she needs that to be happy, then I guess so be it) - but I worry that this type of bolstering is just storing up trouble for the future.
It’s great that she feels loved and wanted by the pop world - but as the overly-exaggerated cheerleading continues, it seems increasingly false. If she bases her self-esteem on that then realizes it’s false, she’ll crash down again. She’ll feel used by her management/record company and the cycle will repeat itself.

15. huh...funny timing on the story. just got to london this morning u.k. time and am just hanging in my room watching XFactor on ITV here and Britney was the 'special guest' doing a 'live' performance.....nice corporate tie-in Harvey! Good timing on the story.

Anyway here is the live rundown.

Britney looks much much better and in the after performance chat was very coherent (for her).

The performance...of where to begin...

1. Lip Synched. Badly. Even Simon Cowell (he's a judge - it's his show) was giggling in the background. She was way off on her lip movement and was synching to obviously computer enhanced vocals....not pretty.
2. the lip synching wouldn't have been as noticeable had she been able to dance her routine properly. I am being generous about her 'routine' which was her merely walking around the stage in a 'Chris Rock' style of back and forth.
3. Her outfit. Oh my. I am saying this realizing how sloppy she really was a few months ago, flabby, fat, etc. So she does look much improved, but she has so far to go before she can wear the outfit she wore....I watched her thinking of some poor naive kid who was pushed by a parent to do this. It was too ridiculous. Her still flabby ass was hanging out with some of her meat, yes they show that here in the UK....At least she wore decent boots to cover her cankles and her hair was fashioned to camouflage her thick neck.
At the end of the day, she was always a 'product' produced ina studio....she is the Greg Brady/Johnny Bravo character,..she fit the suit...talentless, average looking...hot? I don't think so. She is going the way of J-Lo, the public is done with her, no matter how much Harvey and the TMZ crew try to pump her...she is done.
