Lawyer: "Not Guilty" Plaxico to Turn Himself In

Plaxico Burress' lawyer, Ben Brafman, just told us they were making arrangements for Plaxico to turn himself in tomorrow morning.

Ben said Burress will enter a plea of not guilty to one charge of illegal possession of a weapon, a felony.

Sources tell TMZ Burress could also be charged with reckless endangerment.

Ben Brafman tells TMZ his client "Intends to address the charges in a responsible manner as a true professional," adding, "I would hope that his fans reserve judgment in this matter until all of the facts are developed."

Brafman just left Plaxico's New Jersey home, where the wide receiver has been holed up since the shooting.

31. Who cares if he was carrying a gun. It is his constitutional right and NY cannot take that constitutional right away from him. He doesn't have to answer to anyone why he wants to carry one. He SHOULD however be jailed for "accidentally" shooting it off in public....he could have killed someone. Carrying a gun is a responsibility....he messed up that responsibility so he should have to pay.

I think he will plea bargain out. Be required to public service hours, pay a fine, and have to take a gun safety course....all because he is rich with a "rich man's" lawyer.
