Brit Dodges the 5,150 Pound Elephant

151. How can Britney actually be allowed back into the entertainment industry? And I just can't believe the recognition and praise she is getting by coming back...?

She put her name, family, her YOUNG fans not to mention her own children through the ringer over the past few years. First and for most - how she treated her own children, shaving her head, drinking, drugs. acting out, in and out of court cases - when and if she decided to go, ALL of the public embarrassmentsI episodes? What was this telling her fans? including young mothers?

It's followers like her fans who do as they see their idols do. There are young women out there now thinking it's ok to run a muck, cause turmoil, shame the family name, act out! etc...

As a parent of two former fans of Britney Spears and I myself as someone who USED to be a fan of hers, I no longer look at Britney as being a positive influence for her fans. How I do look at her is being a HUGE disappointment!!

She suddenly popped back into her career as though nothing ever happened. She was allowed to conitnue where she left off as though she did nothing wrong. I feel she owes her fans, as well as the public an on the air public world wide apology for her actions.

She should be ashamed of herself! Is she actually proud of herself for what she has done? How could she be proud of herself? She not only shamed herself and her fans, she shamed her own children who I feel very sorry for having such a huge disapointment as a mother.

For the damage and humiliation she caused, she does not deserve the positive attention she is getting.

You raise a good point about her being a role model for young women.. but sh*t happens.. and its just unfortunate that her sh*t has to be played out in the public eye and across newstands everywhere. Maybe you should just stick to letting your kids listen to her music instead of letting them read tmz or watch ET etc. Spears is popular with young ladies for her music... you could be a better parent and explain to your kids that she is real and not something to be idolized, Dont blame Britney for being human... gosh! If you took your responsibility as a parent and explained that these are pop stars and they didnt invent the wheel and they make bad decisions like everyone else mayne they would still be fans.. I dunno.. just my two cents.. you cant blame Britney.. You has a parent have a responsibility as well to help educate your children about these young ladies they idolize or maybe you should be your childrens "idol" instead of a pop singer since your so perfect and could of handled all this with your eyes closed. Nice try at passing the buck though.

154. and furthermore its not like Britney did this stuff and attempted to sell it to her fans.. she was living her life and having problems and it just so happened that everyone followed her and reported every little detail... she wasnt ASKING her fans to watch it or keep up with her meltdown.. its called " PRYING" if people didnt pry into her personal life noone would know 1/2 the crap they do .. including people like Dr Phil and the Drs at the hospital who snooped in her files.. geez its not like she stood on a pedestal and said " look at me .. Im awesome.. do what I do" I am not defending Britney but I am defending her right to be human...and if you dont like her anymore and think her career should be over then dont buy her albums.. case closed

155. its pretty funny that she makes almost 800 thousand a month, and when her concert tickets are selling up to 1500 a ticket, i guess TMZ and losers can say whatever they want from the sidelines. and whats to ask..like ohh miss britney why did you go to the nuthouse?! - its really a line no one should cross , cause yea shes famous and can shave her head and still everyone wants to know what miss britney spears is doing 24/7. if you dont like her congrats, and honestly who knows if she's really sick with a chemical imbalance and needs stucture and medication in her life in order to stay alive, so please losers, think a little before you open up that trap of yours you call a mouth cause clearly by the looks of it, your all pretty braindead.

159. I think the paparazzi should give this girl a vacation but on the other hand she seems so weak. There are children starving, people dying of diseases, and laid-off men who can't support their families and this chick is breaking down over a man and people wanting her photo. If you have to pop the question to a guy and buy your own ring doesn't something cry a little desperate? She could have done so much better. I'm her age when she broke up with Justin and then got married so don't blame it on being young and dumb. And as for the paparazzi well she has so much money why doesn't she just pay them to leave her alone or hire someone to disguise her when she goes out. If she was mentally ill she should have just said so and not make lame excuses. You can't place stars that fall from the sky back into the heavens. She'll never be the same chick she was in 2001.

160. Britney cannot help doing the crazy things she has done. Britney is seriously mentally ill and not responsible for her actions. Saying bad things will not make her mental illness go away any quicker.
