Brit Dodges the 5,150 Pound Elephant

There was no Britney Spears documentary last night, there was only propaganda.
Britney Spears: Click to watch
Funny that a feature film that was supposed to examine everything in her life conveniently glossed over the parts where she was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, flashed the no-no bits, hung around scumbags like Sam Lutfi and Adnan, and was placed under a conservatorship after being strapped onto a gurney -- twice.

Bottom line -- Britney and MTV had an opportunity to help us understand the real Britney. Then again, when a Britney tell-all is sponsored by a Britney perfume line, how real could it possibly get?

46. Look, she did really good last night.... You all have to remember she does have children and that is a tape here kids will run across one day and all her personal problems that caused her to have a 5150 deal is not anything her kids or the public should know... It should be kept private, as she was saying last night she can't even go to the store with her kids don't any of you humans think that is crazy....

My point being screw all of you that want to kick some one when they are down and have nothing better to do but wish the worst on someone...
I wish her nothing but luck and hope she finds her way back from all the cruel things people like TMZ do....

I am 30 years old, don't even really listen to her music, but I believe that everybody deserves a chance and screw you all that want to take it from her...
Here is a idea GET YOUR OWN FREAKING LIFE.....

48. She struck me as being in pretty serious depression. Her life looks absolutely miserable and joyless and I hate to say it, but after watching this show, I pretty much expect her to kill herself any day.

She needs to get out of show biz and go be a missionary or something akin to such a lifestyle. Make some normal friends, grow a garden, do something productive...anything but what she's doing now.

49. This whole special was so bogus. If she feels so strongly about being a "prisoner" then why doesn't she buy a big compound somewhere in the mountains away from all the paps???? Why don't her people stop calling the paps to tell them where she'll be and when she'll be there? Stop parading around where you know cameras will be lurking and move out of celebrityville. Everything doesn't add up. She needs to stop asking people to feel sorry for her and change her situation.

50. I liked it. Not sure what more you wanted on her meltdown that we haven't seen or heard already? She's doing great, she's got appeal, millions love her, and she has parents who care. Can everybody on this board bashing her say the same?

Nah. Didn't think so.

51. I agree with # 11. Do you want to know what day she starts her period each month also?? I felt she covered enough to help others understand. You are just asses with this one TMZ !!

52. Man... Im disappointed that TMZ & some of last nights viewers are choosing to remain in bash mode. Ive never been a big Brit fan, but I found the doc to be rather heartfelt & genuine. I even teared up a little.

Its upsetting that the media in its true form, is still displaying its blatant & heartless greed. She didnt say this or she didnt talk about that.... I thought she covered things pretty well actually & I personally dont need her to discuss the gory details to understand how & why she feels the way she does.

"I think the majority of people out there want to see me do well."

And I think she is right. Back the eff off.

53. Everyone on this blog at one time has said she needs to talk to the media and tell her story. Well she covered all the basics and yet people still are so hateful towards this woman.

54. First of all just let me say ..I adore Britney and I wish her nothing but the best in life. But after watching the special last night, Its painfully obvious to me that she is still a very sad , lonely, confused little girl who is just going through the motions of maining some sort of normalcy in her life. But I fear if the conservatorship were to end, everything would fall apart for her again. During the show with the audience, you could tell she didnt even want to be there. She looked uncomfortable and didnt know how to react or what to say. She has a very long way to go before she gets back to the way she was before...if she ever does.

55. You know i don't know why everyone can just let the girl live.. I mean seriously do you think the world will end if we don't have one day without britney being harrassed. I think part of her problem and her melt down was because of the papparrazi. Seriously people need to worry about other things. Like how to get out of reccession.....

56. Back off of the poor girl already.

57. I don't know what to think about her show last night on MTV...but all I can say is that whatever her diagnosis is, you can tell she is still not right. She is a wounded soul. She seemed distant and disconnected. I mean, she looks and acts more together than she had during her breakdown, but that's not raising the bar too high. The last thing she should be doing is making a CD and touring. She should disappear and drop off the face of the Earth for a year and get some rest, be with her boys, and try to get her head right so that one day she can be in charge of her own life again. Courts don't take the granting of conservatorships lightly; it has to be proven that a person cannot safely and reasonably handle their day to day affairs. You have to have serious issues--WAY BEYOND letting "bad people take advantage" of you. She got upset and cried because her life doens't have "passion or fun"...maybe she doesn't quite grasp the gravity her actions have had on her and her two boys. There wasn't any light shed on why her marriage ended, or what her mental illness is...but the whole thing is a PR stunt trying to put a positive spin on her. I don't know--I like her, but there is something wrong with her. Just because she's lost the baby weight and can pull off a few dance manuevers for videos, doesn't mean she's all better.

58. Understand the real Britney? TMZ, you should be ashamed. She's been through a lot; leave her alone. Go pick on somebody your own size you jerks!

59. That was the smartest thing to do...she doesn't have to explain to anybody! But, she definately cared enought to let us know she was hurting, loves her babies, and made some mistakes. Obviously somebody there behind this computer screen has personal reasons to make such crappy stories....huh, maybe your PAYCHECK! Obviously the economy has set in on TMZ because you are resorting to the most horrible crap gossip, and not to mention....wanting to say something back to all of your viewers who comment on how poor your judgment is on what you say and do regarding celebrities.
TMZ, and the retarted staff.....you guys SUCK, and should go have a meeting about doing your own damage control...Hmmmm, let's think, who has more fans...Britney, or TMZ???
LOSERS! ...WHITH NOTHING TO REPORT !!!!

60. Britney's donward spiral was the greatest thing to happen for TMZ, naturally they DON'T want to see her make a comeback. They will continue to bash her, so that the majority of their viewers will remain interested. Let's take that into concideration shall we?

If a person tends to be increasingly surrounded by craziness; being followed and surrounded by people, photographed, recorded, analyzed, scruitinized, its bound to effect that person in some way, No wonder she went a little crazy, EVERYTHING around her was craziness.

I can't imagine being judged 'round the world every time I made a move or said a word. This girl is trying to learn to cope with her enormous fame and spotlight. Give her a break if she doesn't feel the need to go into great detail about how she has made bad decisions, and suffered because of it. after all she has already been exposed through the media countless times.

I think Britney has paid her dues, and deserves at least an iota of respect.

And I never even liked the skinny b*tch in the first place, so THERE!
