62. I feel sorry for the poor girl, but I don't think that the remedy for what she's been suffering is for her to continue with her career in the long run.

Yes, I know that much of what she had to deal with has been a result of her own poor choices, but I still think that she is in a very sad situation. She is not very smart and she is immature, self-centered, and narcissistic. Being massively famous at an early age and having mental problems made all this even worse. We can still see the results of this in the way she is responding to her conservatorship. In her interview it's clear that she has not learned that the people who are controlling her have been greatly helping her and her career, and that she could very well be dead now if it wasn't for them.

I contend that Britney is mentally incapable of learning that lesson, which is why I feel sorry for her.

Even before Lutfi and some of the other bad influences got into her life, she was damaging herself and not acting in her own best interests. Due to her mental handicaps, the girl has never been able to take care of herself in an adult world, and I have serious doubts that she will ever be able to do so.

She has already passed her prime and she will never again be at the top of the entertainment world. She can still make some money and enjoy some measure of popularity, but as she gets older, this will continue to diminish, and she will be increasingly depressed. She has a hard, sad road ahead of her, and because of her inability to deal with life and to grow up, I think of her situation as a modern-day tragedy.

I think that the kindest thing for her would be for her family to ease her out of the limelight and to make sure that she is set up as securely as possible so she can get the care she needs for the rest of her life, and so that her children are well provided for. I'm guessing that her current attempts to revive her career are just a temporary measure to bring in some much-needed income, so that she and her kids can get set up in this way. Therefore, I wish her well for now in the hope that she will be able to more comfortably leave the world of celebrity as soon as possible.

67. There are so many people who are so much worse off than her. I don't understand why everyone tries to act like Britney Spears life is so bad. Boo hoo! She has money, she is inspirational, she has two kids which should matter to her more than the gossipy accolades she receives. She can basically do whatever she wants, she has all the tools needed. She is a grown woman, she doesn't need a crew of people babying her, and all of America and everyone who seems to be on some sort of Love/Hate Britney brigade. Like i said, there are people who are so much worse off than her but they dont have people holding her hand. Why do we need a victim of fame like in the olden days. The problem with what you're saying here is that the psychiatric professionals who have been examining Britney and the courts DO consider her to be in need of "a crew of people babying her". Conservatorships are not granted lightly. Independent medical professionals have to assess the person and determine that they are mentally or physically incapable of caring for themselves. The laws are very clear about this.

Britney has been examined by court-appointed psychiatrists a number of times during the course of her conservatorship, and because of the results of these examinations, her conservatorship has always been extended -- and the last time, it was extended indefinitely. This can only occur as long as Britney continues to be unable to function as an adult in the world.

It's clear that you'd like to believe that Britney is better off than she is, but you need to accept reality.

72. I agree with TMZ. She did not open up about all sorts of things that went on in her life. I would have asked her
so many more questions, like why did Kevin break it off with her, why did she expose her vagina to the world
and consider herself a decent person. If she says she is such a private person, why did she drive all over LA to
the hot spots where she knew the media would be?? If she is so lonely, why does she pick scambags to hang
with, instead of high calibur people?
To me, Brittney is a very sad, immature, needy, inexperienced woman who makes very bad choices. I can see
why Popa took over. Someone has to see she stays on the straight and narrow, for HER sake, not for her success.
What better person than her own flesh.
This was no "set the record straight", this was special to launch her new CD and sagging perfume sales.

It 's true that some people here are always going to dump on Brtiney. But also you cannot forget that she went on TV last night in fornt of millions of people and she put herself out there,. When some one does that they are now open for all the comments and critics that people are going to make about her. Lots of us do not dump on Brit every day like many loosers do here, we do want to comment about what we saw on TV last night, and we have a right to do that.
If Britney does not want people to have an opionion about her then she should not go on TV where millions of people will watch her.

Britney did such a bad job of managing her own affairs before her family took over, that she lowered her fortune from around $120 million to something like $60-80 million in just a couple years. At that rate, she would be completely bankrupt by the time she'd get to be around 30 years old. I think that the reason her family is continuing to promote her career for the time being is to try to stop the negative cash flow.

If they can shore up ler losses and get her into a more stable financial situation, I hope that they then ease her out of the limelight. As I've said before, the poor girl is mentally incapable of caring for herself, and she has a hard, sad life ahead of her. I really feel sorry for her.

Someone should write a play about Britney's life. It will be a modern-day Shakespearean tragedy.
