She's Like Arnold... With Underwear

Move over Kyra Sedgwick, there's a new closer in town.

Sarah Palin, the Britney Spears of politics, has been recruited to help campaign in the Georgia Senate runoff between Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss and Jim Martin.

The red elephants are looking to bank on Palin's pop star appeal to rally the low number of voters who turn out for these runoffs. The Governator of Caleeefornia used to be the go to guy....we're guessing flying commando may have made it problematical in Georgia.

Palin will hit four spots today in the Peach State -- but don't worry, no turkeys will be harmed in the process.

91. To ark & Idaho Potato (same person?)

I would do some serious studying and reading if I were you; you obviously don't know what you are talking about, but "pretend" that you do. You might try not avoiding silly things like facts, as well. Seriously, you are really "out there." Lol.

92. An amusing projection of your own shortcomings and self-hate. That is the only information in your post.

And Kits, aka (insert list here) - every single word I have ever written and posted here has only been under the name ark. Period.

93. ark and potato - It scares me that you want this country to be isolated from the rest of the world because of fear.
Potato is actually right about radical Islam. There are peace loving and radicals in all religions. And I will reinterate (at the risk of being irrelevant to ark) that it is the RADICAL CHRISTIANS in THIS country, who worship Sarah Palin, that are just as ignorant and narrow minded as the radical Islams. Did you honestly see those nuts at her rallies? Mixing religion and government is NEVER a good idea, we all have seen the consequences in the Middle East. Yet that is what Palin and the radical Christians would love to do - make this country a Theocracy...thanks, but no thanks.
PS did you all realize that Palin was in Georgia campaigning for a man who got FOUR deferments to get out of Vietnam? And in 2002 he ran one of the dirtiest campaigns ever against Max Cleland, a vet who lost 3 limbs in defense of this country? Of course he used fear - pictures of Cleland mixed with Hussein and bin laden, She should be ashamed of herself, but she's not, because it's all about her face time in the media - even as her own son fights over in Iraq. And those dolts in Georgia just eat it all up because they are mostly fearful, radical, Christians. They would vote for a monkey if it said it was a Republican. Heck, they elected Bush.

94. Walle - actually the radical Christians should scare you more because they live among us. I, too, am more fearful of the crazy right wingers in our own country than I am of another terrorist attack. They fear the unknown and we fear them because we know exactly who they are and what the would do to this country and our freedoms if they were ever in power.
Sarah Palin is their queen and she is a fake Christian and yet they blindly believe in her.

95. Wow, such drama. No one wants to live in fear or isolate the country. Where did that come from? "RADICAL CHRISTIANS in THIS country, who worship Sarah Palin…" Christians worship one entity, and it is not Palin. Again, such drama. Liking does not equal worship. Stop the hyperbole.

Lastly, there is a huge different between radical Christians and radical Muslims in the 21 Century. Explaining it will not make you understand, I'm afraid. Search on Google and you will find that most every (if not all) skirmish, war, clash, or civil unrest is caused by radical Muslims. From India, to Pakistan, Israel, China, southern Russia, Spain, most of northern and eastern Africa, Indonesia, the Philippines, Georgia, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, eastern Europe, not counting the bombings that have occurred in the U.S., France, U.K., and other areas in northern Europe. It is a global problem.

Must we ALL like vanilla ice cream? Can some of us have a different opinion and the world still be OK? Get over your one-world order. There are thousands of different opinions and it IS all OK. Those who think differently then you are not fearful or stupid.

"Heck, they elected Bush." No WE elected Bush. We the people... not they the people. Just like WE elected Obama, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Nixon, Kennedy, Truman, FDR, Taft, and Lincoln (etc). Many diverse beliefs = we.

(Reread your own posts and see how many times you put down and insult someone who thinks differently than you. Maybe then you will see YOU are the problem.)

96. #95 - You go ahead and fear the Christians. History shows it was the "crazy Christians" that came here and formed this country. They created our freedoms. They did a good job with the constitution too. No crazy stuff in that. You're so worried about your freedom being taken away, but you see nothing wrong in demanding everyone think like you and not be free to like or dislike (notice not "love" or "worship") who we choose. You're free and so are we.

I like Sarah Palin. She is a strong, independent, principled woman. Live what YOU believe and let others do the same,

97. How to debate like a pro.
----------------------------------

You, too, can be a star debater like ark if you study his polemic techniques. Pay attention to how he responds to the issues raised by his debating opponents in the following dramatizations:

Walle: Sarah Palin appeals to radical Christians.
ark: You are a single person posting under various aliases.

BostonGen: People don't hate Palin. They are just alarmed at her ignorance.
ark: You are a single person posting under various aliases.

Georgia: You misrepresented what Palin said in that prank phone call. Here's the transcript ...
ark: You are a single person posting under various aliases.

Alaskan: Palin is associated with lots of pork-barrel spending and is known as the "Queen of Pork" in Alaska.
ark: You are a single person posting under various aliases.

Brendolyn: I'm a Republican and Palin annoys me.
ark: You are a single person posting under various aliases.

Anon2: The media were easy on Palin. The GOP had better come up with some better leaders, or else more of us will leave the party.
ark: You are a single person posting under various aliases.

Notice the way that ark adroitly addresses each and every one of the points that are raised by his debating opponents. This should be a lesson to all of us who want to succeed in the wonderful world of debate.

And to ark: every single word I have ever written and posted here has only been under the name Polar Chicken. Period.

98. Good post Polar Chicken. Hey, I thought potato said it was his last post BEFORE he wrote two more. Kind like reading them, although they sound alot like Plain's jibberish, it's why I like watching her too. "Let's try and figure out what the intolerant mind is saying."
Do you mean that EVERYTHING in the original constitution was OK?? Then the amendments were what, just nonsense? Like maybe the one that abolished slavery? You believe in slavery?!?? Wow....
And Palin is principled? Let's see, she lied about the bridge, lied about troopergate, campaigned that she would help families with special needs kids (in 2007 she cut the Speical Olympics budget in half), billed the state for living in her own house, flew the kids around on the state dime and "forgot" to report half of the trips, hired her clearly unqualified, but loyal high school friends to top positions, and encouraged her daughter's boyfriend to drop out of high school in order to hide him up on the North Slope with a job so he wouldn't speak to the press. Plus she bore false witness against Obama on the campaign trail to win votes and scare the nutty base. If that's principled, you've got some mighty strange principles. I am just stating the facts as I know them, but you seem to thinks those facts don't matter, And it seems to me that you take things too personally. First you say that it's good to have different opinions. Then suddenly a different opinion is an insult to you and somehow WE are wrong and mean for not believing the way YOU do...just who is the intolerant one here?
And did 100% of the country vote for Bush?? You said "we the people" and I was not one of them...am I not an American to you? Maybe I'm one of those Anti-Americans that Palin so loved to preach about.

You are a liar, "Harry Truman".

100. Debate? What debate? All of the elements are missing. There is no pending action to decide on, no course to choose, no direction to pick--nothing. Arguing about personal preferences that are irrelevant except to the owner of those preferences is pointless. What color is better, blue or green? What tastes better, cake or pie?. You hate brussel sprouts? OK, nothing to debate there. You hate Sarah Palin? OK, nothing to debate there either.

There's nothing going on with brussel sprouts or Palin to debate. Trying to convince others to hate them is not debate, and I promise you, you won't change anybody's mind no matter how big you make it look. The intelligence of a crowd isn't additive. I bet nothing's going to change your mind either.

Usually I say something when things have been twisted, distorted, just a lie or irrational in my view, no matter who it's about. And now I find out I have polemic techniques. Damn. I was just getting used to being smarmy and irrelevant. But really, for my comments to be polemic would mean you are grossly over-estimating the importance and extent of yours.

Want to mock my brand new 'star debater' title? Knock yourself out. I'm not debating because there is nothing to debate.

101. 101. Debate? What debate? All of the elements are missing. There is no pending action to decide on, no course to choose, no direction to pick--nothing. ... blah blah blah blah blah blah blah ...

It looks like I hit a nerve.

102. Sensible Christian is any thing but. An example of his or her dramatic responses and thought process:

Me: "I love Sunday afternoons."
Sensible Christian: "Oh, you love SUNDAY afternoons?!? You hate Jews? Jews like Friday nights. Does that mean you are anti-work?!!?? Wow.... Working men and women sacrifice so much to earn their daily living Monday-Friday and you stand there and say only Sundays are of value and there should be more of them instead of one for your stupid enjoyment!!!?"

Geesh. I mean what I say, don't read your fears into it. You know exactly what I said and what's implied. You're just arguing for arguments sake.

"Blah, blah, blah, I hate Sarah Palin, blah, blah." So much effort into demeaning one woman. If I don't like something or someone, I leave them alone. I don't harp and badger others over and over and over and over. Just go and believe what you want. You don't like Sarah Palin… got it. OTHERS DO LIKE HER! So go fart in your hat.

103. 101.

Usually I say something when things have been twisted, distorted, just a lie or irrational in my view, no matter who it's about.

Posted at 10:38PM on Dec 4th 2008 by ark

If that's true, then why do you only take issue with people who don't like Sarah Palin? None of us heard a peep out of you when people would come here and promulgate distorted lies about Barack Obama, such as his being a "terrorist", or that he allegedly murdered his grandmother right before the election in order to gain a few sympathy votes.

In other words, the statement of yours that I quoted above is twisted, distorted, and a lie.

Actually, to be fair, I have to say that there is one other area in which you wax eloquent. Although I've never seen you issue even a single word of disapproval against those sick individuals here who wish suffering or death upon Britney Spears, you go all out against those who rebuke these sick people.

In summary, there are only two groups of people whom you defend here: Sarah Palin, and those who wish harm to come to Britney Spears.

Posted at 1:00AM on Dec 5th 2008 by .

104. Potato, get a grip...who said anythng about Sundays?? Wow...get your meds adjusted. Really? If you don't like someone you leave them alone? Is that why you just went all postal on sensible Christian?? If that's leaving them alone then I have a bridge to sell you in Alaska!!!! I happen to find the debate here fun and amusing, and I agree with sensible Christian. I guess that makes me hateful too, but we all get an opinion. Instead of just firing off on someone, why don't you defend the argument against Palin? Can you?? Everyone talks about her morals and values, but I need some concrete examples, please.
ark - so I hear you defend Britney...yuk, can't stand her. Her music is fine, but what a trainwreck. I hear there will be a new tour next summer - it's Britney Spears and Sarah Palin, the "Dumb And Dumber" tour...hurry, tickets will sell out fast!!

Posted at 11:54AM on Dec 5th 2008 by Walle

105. You misunderstood what I wrote, Walle. I see now that I didn't write it very clearly. It was late at night and I was tired. I should have waited until the morning.

ark doesn't defend Britney Spears. He defends people who wish suffering or death upon her.
