Balfour Charged in Hudson Murders

The Cook County state's attorney's office has just officially charged William Balfour with the murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew.

He's been charged with three counts of first degree murder and one count of home invasion.

Balfour is scheduled for a bond hearing at noon Central time tomorrow.

UPDATE 4:21 ET: In their presser, which just ended, the State's Attorney and cops said they're "confident" about their case, which some unnamed sources have claimed is "mainly circumstantial." They said they do have physical evidence tying Balfour to the scene, and emphasized they did not cut a deal with Balfour's girlfriend to elicit her testimony.

61. Balfour did not do these murders by his self. There is one or two more people involved but if he doesn't tell. They are going to pend it all on him. I just can't see how someone could kill a baby seven years old. These people don't have no love nor a heart to do something like this. I only pray that the get the right people. And my heart and prayers go out to the family. Stay strong and keep your faith in the LORD he is master and ruler of all.

IF Balfour didn't do it he had better get himself not just a lawyer but also a private investigator to find out who did, that would really be his only saving grace, to get evidence of who did to get him off, but if it was him, he's one crazy **** , surely he could have got on with his life and not have to kill all these people to get revenge or whatever he was after, i just hope they have the right person. and if so he shouldn't see the light of day, whoever did it is one evil individual.

63. in response to number 28: it was not Balfour's son that was killed, Julia had a son previously to someone else, it was only his stepson so it's no blood relative of his and since he and Julia were estranged i'm sure he no longer thought of him as his son, i don't think they were even married for more than a year, he probably just wanted to marry into the hudson family, if he did this he did not feel one bit of love for anyone in this family ever.

I still say that people should hold up until all the facts come out. William Balfour wasn't the only one involved, just the only one they (CPD) could get!

69. TMZ you suck!! With your socialistic ways....a pick and choose, liberal commentator. All the news that the networks are afraid to report..... and so are you!! Anyway probably one of Harvey's minority that removed posts # 65 & #67. Sad isn't it?? I do wish you guys would do a story on Anne Pressly though, or is it a bit too racial for you!! You guys really suck, since you really don't care what the real truth is!!!
