Britney -- Abs-olutely Perfect

What Britney lacked in dance moves on "Good Morning America," she definitely made up for in the ab department.

Spears brought her now infamous "Womanizer" strutting/arm-flailing routine to a new song, "Circus" but her stomach made for quite the distraction.

Another welcome distraction -- the birthday girl's fam, who sat in the second row.

78. Personally, I have never liked Britney as a performer. To me her voice is average (I'm being generous) her dance moves are uninspired. She's, like somebody else said, manufactured. I can't stand her speaking voice (she's 27 years old and still baby talks). She seem to be very vacant (could be from the meds). I really wish she would have taken some more time off and gotten even better (mentally). I hope she does get well and is able to live a happy productive life. Good luck Britney!

79. First of all....I love Brit! However, the performance was soooo boring!!! She didn't sing or dance at all. Just walked around the stage looking lost. I don't understand why anyone would buy tickets to see her, unless she really gets her butt into gear. She did look great, but the abs were def. airbrushed on. I'm not so sure that she's ready for all of this yet. Still something not quite right about her. They should give her more time to relax and get her life on track before sending her out on tour....just my thoughts....

80. My favorite part was when Diane Sawyer said "I'd love to sit down and talk to her, but not today, today it's all about the music."
Hmmmmmm. Then at the end of her 'performance' Diane asks her where her tour is going to start, and what does Britney answer, "Huh, where?" ..."America".

Yeah, that's why there was no interview.

81. Amazing how someone can make millions for lip syncing, walking around a dance routine like Janet Jackson, doing a few dance steps and occassionally fixing her mike headset a few times (for what? She's just moving her lips). Talent like that puts the real talented entertainers who can really dance, sing and not lip sync to shame.

82. I hope she does something to improve her performance or the people who actually buy tickets to see her are going to be sorely disappointed.

83. To #28. [Those were NOT "painted" abs that's what all the months of
working out has done and her stomach did NOT stay the same when she
danced.. Paid bloggers are in full force here this morning. Anything
to get hits I guess. Posted at 9:50AM on Dec 2nd 2008 by M]

In the Glamour interview she says herself she hates exercising and
can't get motivated right now. I think they were painted on abs and I
believe the Stuff dot com article about her being 'bulimorexic'. We
all saw when she bought huge bags of laxatives and diuretics last
year. She did a little better in her dancing today but I still think
it's too much too soon and she should be home taking care of herself and
her relationship with her children. This is all highly staged and
engineered to make people think Britney is OK now and to sell
records. I'm sorry I don't believe the facade. She's a very sad girl
who is trying to hide it with the help of all the enablers around
her.

When I brought up the subject of depression, Rudolph cut me off and
spoke for Spears, saying firmly, "That's beyond what we want to
talk about." --- from Glamour Magazine article

84. Quoting # 55. The anti psychotic medication sure has helped Britney shape up. Maybe she has found a cure for all the fat people in the world. Go crazy like Britney and they will put you on anti psychotic meds and you will lose weight. What a plan!!!!!

What I am finding sad is the absolute nastiness in people, who make fun of someone's mental health issues when they are trying to get better. I stopped allowing my children to listen to anything Britney a long time ago, however my opinion is slowly changing. I am a huge advocate of mental health issues, I have a child who is bipolar and what people seem to forget is that mental "illness" is just that, and illness not unlike diabetes or high blood pressure. These people can not "get over it" and their behaviour is a manifestation of the illness. I find it truly sad that people go on the attack when someone suffers from a mental illness, and think that it is funny. Would you do the same of someone suffering from diabetes or cancer? From what I see on here, most probabally would. I applaud Britney for trying to make changes in her life, I applaud her father for stepping in and helping get his daugher on track. While Britney was suffering with her illness, she was not capable of fighting for her children or herself, that is not an issue with her as a parent, but as someone suffering from a very serious illness. I am hopeful that her medications are working and that she will be able to function with some form of normalcy, she needs it and more importantly, her children need it. My daughter is deeply affected by her illness, however, with the medications she is a different child, better able to cope in a world that clearly discriminates and mocks who she is...a child with a mental illness. Everywhere she looks there is nothing but negativity associated with her illness, people make uniformed judgements, and cruel comments about an illness that they really have no idea about. The only people who truly understand are the ones living with it, or the family that love them. As for my daughter, I am hoping that while Britney is well, she can serve as a beacon of hope that even when things hit rock bottom, there is hope of a return to normalm and an understanding that she is not alone, that even people who are rich and famous can be afflicted with this, and just like everyone else, are subject to the cruelty and insensitivity that comes with it. Britney, I wish you well in your recovery and ongoing treatment!

85. Brit is ridiculous. That was a weak performance at best. Why should she work hard and genuinely try to improve herself? Her cult of braindead brittards don't require their leader to have talent.

86. hell yea she did great, not quite back to where she was at dancing wise but shes looking great!! so proud... told all u nay sayers a long time ago shed be back.....................................

87. OK, this is my opinion - Britney used to be a fantastic performer. Her dancing was off the hook and she was great-looking, it didn't matter that she doesn't have the best voice. She was the #1 ENTERTAINER when she was in her prime. If she could only gain back that fire and confidence she used to hold, she could be the queen of pop again. It was her dancing that made her - she needs to focus on that as her main thing, she used to be fierce!

Posted at 1:34PM on Dec 2nd 2008 by What, Bitches??

88. Why do people hate on her? I don't get it. Anyway, she LOOKED great in many ways. No, her dancing was not as fierce as it usually is. HOWEVER, she just came back off a rocky road. I'm sure she is nervous. Give her more chances! The dancing I saw in these was fantastic. . . give her a bit and she'll be dancing just as much and just like she did before. Not to mention, my mom thinks she possibly didn't go all out because of her children being there. I don't know. . . all I know is BRITNEY IS BACK!!! And btw, you can argue she's not the most vocally talented... but she can kick anyyyones ass in dancing! She is an extremely talented performer.

I agree. The poor girl is behaving like she's seriously depressed, and that she's lost touch with her inner fire.

Someone needs to remind her (or at least her handlers and trainers) that depression consists of a lot of repressed anger. A sensitive, astute, and well-trained dancing coach can help Britney get in touch with this anger of hers and to redirect it and ride it. If Britney is able to do that, we'll see her old fierceness coming back with a vengeance, and her performance will be hot.

Yeah!!! I'd love to see some of the cowardly hater TMZ posters on stage with a hot and angry and fiercely dancing Brit.

For 'britbritisaskank': Brit's elbow jammed into his mouth, breaking some teeth.
For 'Mr. Bill Bo Baggens': Brit's pointy-toed boot slamming into his crotch.
For "FlBiker": Throwing him to the floor and a kick to the abdomen.
For "JINGO": A fist to his nose and another to his mouth.

The audience would go wild!
