Polanski Finds Minor Problem with Sex Case

It's been 30 years since Roman Polanski was charged with having sex with a teenage girl, but it's never too late to try and have the case dismissed.

The Oscar-winning director has filed a request to have the child-sex charge against him tossed out, the AP is reporting. His lawyers claim a documentary about Polanski that was released this year revealed "misconduct and improper communications" between the judge and prosecutors in his case.

Polanski was initially indicted on six felony counts and could have gotten life in prison. Instead, he pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor -- the other counts were dismissed.

Polanski skipped sentencing and fled the country when he was charged in 1978 and hasn't returned to the U.S. since. He won the Oscar for directing "The Pianist" back in 2003, but skipped the ceremony because there is still an active warrant for his arrest.

16. This guy is bad luck for America.
The last time he was in America a bunch of people got stabbed at his house and later a young girl was fed quaaludes and alcohol at Jack Nicholson's house.
Do you want someone to get stabby again? Do you want to lock up young 14 year old girls for their safety? These things ust be considered.

17. OK, gross. I just Wki'd Polanski and it would appear he was a MINIMUM of 42 years old when he had sex with this girl. He was born in 1933 which would make him 75 this year. It was also 9 years after his wife's murder so the sympathy angle goes out the door for me. If he's been gone for 30 years he moved when 45. Likely he was probably closer to 43-44 at the time of the incident. I don't care what this girl thought it doesn't matter what her feelings were at the time or now. The guy is just 1 sick f*ck. Period. Of course, most Hollywood men date women 25-30 yrs younger than them so maybe he was just getting an early start.

19. Why was Samantha Geimer at Jack Nicholson’s home doing a photo shoot for “French Vogue” without her parents their? Geimer was only 13 years old, and without her parents their. Who drove her to Jack Nicholson’s home?

Geimer then goes topless, and lets Polanski take photos of her. Is then asked by Polanski to go to the Jacuzzi nude, and lets him take more photos. In which Polanski takes off his clothes, and has sex with her, and not knowing her real age.

Was Jack Nicholson spying on them is some corner waiting his turn?
Samantha played an adult role, and Polanski walks free of any charges. – This smells like entrapment because Samantha was playing grown-up, and all is fair in love, and war.

I had a feeling she wasn't a virgin, I never should have used deflowered. But you know, thing is, I don't care if she changed partners nightly. 13 is 13 and a man in his late 30's, 40's whatever would have been able to tell her youth, even if she lied. There is no way he thought she was 17 or 18. Spare me. And if we start letting "little" things like this go, where will it stop? Frankly, this WAS a big fish to fry that never got on the grill because he fled like a coward. They are still convicting KKK members for hate crimes from the '60's and they can still prosecute this guy, too.

21. Who gives a crap if the girl was sexually experience at 13? 13 is still 13 people and that does not change the facts!! A 42 year old knows better than to be seduced by a 13 year old girl like some of you are stating. Give me a break. Anyone else would have served the full sentence. If any dirtbag ever touches my two daughters, they a'sses will be in jail.

He drugged and anally raped a 13 year old female model at Jack Nicholson's house.

"The girl testified that she left the Jacuzzi and entered a bedroom in Nicholson's home, where Polanski sat down beside her and kissed the teen, despite her demands that he "keep away." According to Gailey, Polanski then performed a sex act on her and later "started to have intercourse with me." At one point, according to Gailey's testimony, Polanski asked the 13-year-old if she was "on the pill," and "When did you last have your period?" Polanski then asked her, Gailey recalled, "Would you want me to go in through your back?" before he "put his penis in my butt." Asked why she did not more forcefully resist Polanski, the teenager told Deputy D.A. Roger Gunson, "Because I was afraid of him."

30. This man should be shunned, his projects boycotted and no actor should work with him. I don't care how brilliant he is. He's a convicted criminal and whatever country harbors him should extradite him back to the U.S.
