Cuthbert's Ex Suspended Over "Sloppy Seconds"

Hockey Fun Fact: You can punch the hell out of an opposing player on the ice, but when you refer to his girlfriend as your "sloppy seconds" -- that's where the NHL draws the line.



The NHL suspended hockey's most hated player, Sean Avery, for talking trash to the new player dating his ex girlfriend Elisha Cuthbert.

Here's the deal -- Cuthbert's new boyfriend, Dion Phaneuf, plays for the Calgary Flames -- and during a practice session in Calgary today, Avery got the media's attention and said the following:

"I just want to comment on how it's become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don't know what that's about. Enjoy the game tonight."

Avery is out pending a hearing with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.

23. Sounds to me like he wants to put the girls he dated down as bimbo's? Was it to get the other guy angry or is he overcompensating for.his own lack of something? Something that would make all the previous girls feel unsatisfied with him?

He was suspended because hockey is a game for gentleman there are SO many un-told rules of hockey such as not using Gretzky's #99 or being sure the captains shake hands with the other captains and coaches and being respectful to the other goalie no snow in the face no hacking his gloves he has been pushing the boundaries of hockey ever since hes been in the league

27. Elisha Cuthbert is the ho that Justin Timberlake wrote What Goes Around Comes Around for after she screwed around on his best friend. And sloppy seconds sound about right.

29. He wasn't just talking about Elisha and Dion. Sean also used to date Rachel Hunter, who's now dating Jarrett Stoll (NHL'er). And in between Sean and Dion, Elisha dated Mike Komisarek (NHL'er).

And the comment a few posts above is right. Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around" was written about Elisha and Sean. Before all the hockey players, she was engaged to Justin's BFF Trace Ayala. She cheated on him and left him for Sean Avery.

So I guess what goes around, really does come back around....

30. This is what happens when you drive out us old-time hockey fans who were rabid about the sport and the NHL and replace us with Sun Belt teenybopper fanzine BS. Bettman can change the rules, add a 3 point line, move the standings around, make every team start a line of heartthrobs, give away a free copy of US Weekly with every hat trick, who even cares anymore? Hey Bettman, why don't you move the Habs to San Antonio? Let me know how that works out, okey doke?
