Lawsuit: Workin' for Trump is No Potty!

One pissed off former employee of Donald Trump's L.A. golf club claims working for his facility is the same as stitching shoes in a foreign sweatshop -- meaning no lunch or bathroom breaks allowed during work hours.

Former hostess Lucy Messerschmidt is suing the Trump National Golf Club over a number of alleged labor violations, claiming she wasn't given 10-minute paid breaks, 30-minute unpaid lunch breaks or a chance to use the bathroom during her 8-hour shift -- all required by California law.

In the class-action lawsuit filed yesterday in L.A. Superior Court, 45-year-old Lucy also claimed she was fired because of age discrimination. Lucy says she was let go for complaining about her shifts being cut down -- which allegedly happened because a random club manager wanted "fresh faces" and "young girls" working when The Donald came around

Messerschmidt is looking for at least $15,000 in lost wages, damages and fees.

31. Dear Inside the Park,
I was not management, I worked there as a server. How do I know why she lost hours? Because people...huh...TALK.
I just think it´s not fair to make up stuff.
If all she's sayng was true, why it took two years for her to go ahead and sue?

32. Hey “Former Trump employee”, have you read the actual lawsuit? It doesn’t seem like you have. It seems you are only trying to trash Lucy. Why this agenda?
This is a class action lawsuit. A class action means this has happened to a lot of people. A class action is about helping all the people. READ THE LAWSUIT. The lawsuit is trying to help everyone who has experienced the same type of treatment. Also, you don’t sound like a former server. When and why did you leave Trump?
I don’t believe Lucy was the “talk of the golf course”. It seems to me the talk of the golf course is everyone is scared of management because of retribution. The lawsuit mentions numerous Labor Code violations.

34. Trump has an old lady's neck and face. Is that a small, long haired chihuahua on his head ? OK, his looks are D+. How's his personality ? Oh, not good either. Arrogant, greedy, thoughtless, self centered. If he had no $$$$, who would want anything to do with him ? Especially young, pretty girls ! Hahahahaha !!! He is in a Dream World filled with Brown Nozerz ! Hey ! Howz come we never see his kids any more. They are just as rude and arrogant as he is, judging from "The Apprentice". And his wife, she looks Siamese from too much face stretching ! She looks snooty.

35. There is much more to this issue, believe me. Many are jealous of the Trumpster. Look outside yourself and see what an asset he is for America. I am proud of him and his work. He has a wonderful reputation as an employer. He is a great businessman which is not an easy task. And he builds beauty for all of us. Don't be jealous and don't be ready to jump on him. He is 100% American. Are you?

36. Well for all those who don't know....the rule there is that all HOSTESSES are to remain in front AT ALL TIMES! so the breaks that you mentioned at 10 and 4 dont apply to the hostesses.....and to top it off, when they got the new F&B director, he posted a note at the front saying that if any of the hostesses had food in the front, whether it was lunch or snacks....they would be fired on the spot! and for those who think they know what they're talking about....the lawsuit says that she's also suing for discrimination. managament lies about everything, and if the so called server who says he knows, you were probably on the "favorites" list....and nothing ever happens to them, even if they break the rules.....just to tell you that there was a drunk employee (Favorite) who stepped into the GM's office and started yelling at him for firing one of the chefs who worked there and he never got fired......what can you say about that?......theres much more to this story and it includes a lot that people dont know, so before you say anything, get your facts straight.....and like someone said earlier, it will be settled in court, not here

38. I, too, am a former employee at TNGC and was discriminated in a different manner-sexual harassment and sexism. It has crossed my mind numerous times to file a lawsuit. While still employed @ TNGC I did some asking around (other female employees) about their views and I consistently heard "it is a boys club…Management has their favorites who are untouchable, Management thinks that they are untouchable because no one is going to speak up and go against Trump." I also asked if I did file a lawsuit if they would speak up, however for fear of retribution from Management and from THE TRUMP ORGANIZATION they were hesitant. Management gets away with just about anything and Mr. Sperando is not impartial.
My discrimination occurred from one of Mr. Trump's Vice Presidents within his organization. I held a well-regarded position and reported directly to the Vice President-who reported to Mr. Trump. I decided to move on, however this has long affected my life and the way I view things. I think about the situations I experienced there quite often and find it a shame that a man, such as Mr. Trump, allows such unprofessional actions to take place in one of his businesses, repeatedly.
Therefore, I say good for her and glad to see that she spoke up, since some of us (me) do not have the nerve to do so.
I wish her the best and am proud of her for speaking up. On a side note, a word of advice to the representing attorney; it would be beneficial to do investigative work and speak with former employees and they will find enough evidence to not only sustain this case however would possibly find a trend of lack of professionalism (discrimination, sexism, ageism, weight discrimination, sexual harassment...) which would be possible grounds for another law suit much more impactful than the current one-CLASS ACTION SUIT.

All my best to you, FORMER EMPLYEE OF THE TRUMP ORGANIZATION
