Brit -- Them Movin' Stairs Is Fun!

For Britney and her Southern fried fam, the most exciting part of FAO Schwarz in NYC wasn't the kick ass Muppet Whatnot Workshop or the dudes dressed as toy soliders -- it was the down escalator.

46. Hello? So what if her bodyguard holds her kids, did you ever think she could possibly have a bad back?????? it's possible! laugh but it's very possible, she's not so young anymore and maybe she suffers from Fibromyalgia or back problems! Seriously!

47. How about we all ignore that she is taking her kids to get them expensive toys and just point out all the negative we can! She is not just getting them toys, she is spending the day with them! But wow she isn't carrying her kids and she went up and down the escalator! She is such a horrible mom! Jesus!

48. Yeah and it is safer having a bodygaurd carrying them, I don't think like that always because I don't have to live that way. But that can be it too.

49. To #38 who said that Britney "never hurt anyone.":
If you were one of the TWO paps who had their feet run over by Brit Brit, do you think that would hurt?
If you were Justin and found out about her cheating on you, do you think that wwould hurt?
If you were the woman whose parked car she hit in a hit and run, do you think that would hurt?
If you were stuck in traffic behind the car that Britney abandoned in the road, do you think that would hurt?
If you were her kids looking at a picture of their Mom's shaved sn@tch in a couple years, do you think that would hurt?
I could fill the rest of the page with these things.

50. Britney's fans seem to be from a narrow group of people who do not have a normal life. Why would a normal person obsess about an entertainer??

51. Hello DIANE T. I thought we were back to getting thrown off the stage by the "talent" and thinking that was just fine. I think you may have landed on your head too many times. Yes, I am an adult woman and a Britney fan. Yeah, so? Die-hard? Yup. If I had to name a male equivalen of Britney that I am a die-hard fan of that would be Chris Brown (who I saw in concert twice this year - fantastic). Helll, I'm also a die-hard fan of Beyonce, Rascal Flats, Faith Hill, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Amy Winehouse (wish her the best), Usher, Coldplay, Eagles, Colbie Caillat, Fergie, Madonna, Rihanna, Maroon 5, many more ... and in days gone by ... Rick James, Stevie Wonder, the Beatles (of course), John Lennon (individually), Billy Joel, Springsteen, Kool & the Gang, Beach Boys, many more,,,,,tmz doesn't post too much about any of the above except Britney. Just didn't want you to think I was narrow minded. I think Britney got a bad rap and I like sticking up for her. YOU would love nothing better than to see her tour cancelled and for her to have a relapse and I'm really not sure why. I really don't understand the ... HATERS and the "know it alls" wink wink. Yes, I'm an adult woman with adult (mostly) children. I also LOVE sports (except hockey). Ok, I am the ULTIMATE DIE-HARD DEREK JETER FAN. Is that okay for an adult woman? He is a great role model, not a bad shortstop wink wink, and pretty easy on the eyes. If there is more info that you would like about me so that you can throw it around, just ask. Oh, and, Go Britney - can't wait to see you in concert!!!

54. Jack 54 - Really? Die-hard fan?? I have not been a die-hard fan of anyone's since I put my posters away of Johnny Cougar(Mellencamp) back in 1982...
I think(from my prespective) when you are in your teens or twenties, it is fine to follow pop stars because your brain has not fully formed. But in my case, I grew up and realized that these people are just human beings making a living off of us and they are nothing special. I still enjoy listening to music and in the day was a fan of Springsteen, Prince, The Go Go's, Neil Young, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Whitney, etc... Now, however, it it something that I don't even think about. I don't download music or buy CD's. I just jump in the car and turn on the radio - it's free!! Honestly, at my age(44), I now think that Madonna and Prince are both a couple of kooks!! I will still listen to their music is it comes on, but it's more about the memory of MY life at that time, not the singer. In real life I think they are hypocrites who use their images to make money off of kids and adults who have not grown up. I certainly would not pay money to see them in concert, I would rather give the money to charity. Madonna won't let her own kids watch TV and yet expects us to watch her videos? Puleeeeze. And Prince, what a nut case. Maybe that's why I dislike Britney. She is trying to be Madonna and change her image constantly and I just find it odd. I HOPE she will grow up some day and find herself, but I don't see it happening any time soon. I feel sorry for her kids that they have to live in that circus and think that they would be better off with their Dad and out of her crazy life, which I still believe she has created for herself and continues to perpetuate BY HER OWN ACTIONS...
I live a very fulfilling life (gasp!) without going to concerts constantly and dancing around my house to the latest pop star. I have a great circle of girlfriends, mostly from college, and we get together for lunch's, girl's weekends and our once a year trip to Las Vegas. Two years ago we saw Celine at Caesar's, which was great. And this year I saw Kenny Loggins in a small venue, and my sister and I were taken to Kathy Griffin(hysterical) by my good friend and his partner. I am also involved in politics and worked the phones for Obama in October. I served as an election judge in my district and volunteer at my kids school every Weds. My life is great and I am fortunate to stay at home with my kids because my husband has a good job and I am pretty good at being thrifty. Live your life as you will and I will live mine. I am just glad that I grew up and realized that these stars are just like the rest of us. Listening to their music, fine. But idolizing them and calling them "regal" and "die hard" is a bit much for me...I am a die hard fan to my kids and husband - that's it.

55. To get real (msg #55): You've given a clear explanation of who you are and why you have some of the ideas and opinions you express here. I respect you and your values.

However, I don't understand, given what you say about yourself, why it is so important for you to come here and argue with others about their own values, which might happen to differ from yours.

56. To "by" - The past few days were the first time I had been on the Britney posts...Have been reading TMZ for some time and usually only read the Sarah Palin or Obama posts and contributed. Happened to check them out and was amazed that some people are so mezmerized by her and will defend her so vigourously. Posted a few comments and was quickly told that she is 'regal', 'amazing', 'a good mother', etc etc..and found it amusing that there are some who invest so much in AN IMAGE, not the real person. Speak my truth about Britney and get your head bitten off, it's quite entertaining. I had as much fun with the Palin suporters, the debate is interesting. I am glad we live in a country where we can express different opinions:)

I agree wit hyou.

Some of the people here have "minds" that don't work. They are like programmed computers or trained chimpanzees. Their responses here always fit th efollowing pattern....

"Britney is __________________ [fill in the blank with any event that happens to be reported]. This means she is [choose one at random: a bad mother, a skank, white trash, a whore, a moron]".

Here ar esome examples:

Britney is LETTING HER BODYGUARDS CARRY HER KIDS. This means she is A SKANK.

Britney is WALKING DOWN THE STREET. This means that she is WHITE TRASH.

Britney is BLOWING HER NOSE. This means that she is A WHORE.

Britney is SMILING. This mean sthat she is A MORON.

Britney is WEARING SUNGLASSES. This means that she is A BAD MOTHER.

60. Get real, you are truly a funny person. "I think(from my prespective) when you are in your teens or twenties, it is fine to follow pop stars because your brain has not fully formed." Are you serious? From your perspective, is it only "pop stars" you should stop following once you hit 30? I'm sorry, that line really made me chuckle. Anyway, I no longer consider Britney a pop star - I now consider her a performer - so am I good? It might make you happy to know that I'm not a fan of Miley Cyrus. Anyway, you actually sound like you are 44 going on 94. I remember as a kid watching the Lawrence Welk show or listening to Dean Martin with my parents. They also loved music. As my siblings and I started to grow up, they came to like "that noise" as other parents referred to it. My parents liked Elvis, loved the Beatles, and continued to love Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, etc. As my kids grew up, there seemed to always be some type of music playing in my house. Some I took a liking to, some I didn't, but was glad to see them bopping around to music (whether it was my music playing or theirs). I too took down my posters and put them away or threw them away or maybe burnt them when I burnt my bra but I didn't stop liking music - pretty much all kinds of music with the exception of hard rock, gansta rap and opera. My kids and husband think that my obsession with Britney and Derek Jeter is funny but they play right into it. One of my kids gave me Ringo Starr concert tickets recently and we went together and had a great time. My husband will be accompanying me to the Britney concert and he's looking forward to seeing her as well as the Pusscat Dolls (the opening act) - he'll be bopping right along with me. We've also been taking our kids to Broadway shows since they were toddlers and now that is a favorite gift that they give (Broadway show tickets). Bring In The Noise, Bring In The Funk is a family all time favorite. We have Jersey Boys tickets for just after Christmas - I bought them a year ago so I could get several good seats together and we're even bringing along my elderly father. I still say to lighten up and enjoy the music you once loved - even if you have to pay for it. Womanizer, womanizer, womanizer .... by the way, I have 10 years on ya!!
