Brit -- Them Movin' Stairs Is Fun!

For Britney and her Southern fried fam, the most exciting part of FAO Schwarz in NYC wasn't the kick ass Muppet Whatnot Workshop or the dudes dressed as toy soliders -- it was the down escalator.

61. shut up Jack 54, u r stuuuuuuppppppid!!!

62. Jack - I think I have figured it out...you must be from the East Coast and I am Midwest born and raised. I am not 44 going on 94, but at least I am going in the right direction, not backwards. Did I say I don't enjoy music?? I just think it is silly be running to every concert that comes to town, I have the radio in my car and we have music in the house, but I don't feel the need to get the latest CD...just the way I am and I in no way feel like I am missing out on something. Just the opposite, actually. Seems by your post that you maybe get your self worth from how many concerts you can go to or that you can talk about your trips to Broadway or Mexico. And, God forbid, you don't have front row seats, that would make you a loser. I'm not begrudging you anything, this back and forth is rather fun, but understand that we all don't want to idolize celebrities and give them money to support their crazy lifestyles. If Eric Clapton or Neil Young came to town, I would buy tickets and go for a special date night. But to go just say you went? Not me... I feel exactly the same way about designer clothes or celebrity endorsed perfumes, no thanks. I can get perfectly wonderful clothes at Penney's or even Target. I was raised to be frugal and I cringe when I see kids just out of college with huge credit card bills and an attitude of entitlement. I was lucky enough to have my parents pay for 1/2 of my college and I worked for the other half. I got married and worked and took 5 more years to get my masters in Education. We waited until 9 years into our marriage to have kids, because we knew we didn't have the money or time for them earlier. Just sayin, when you see Britney in a toy store, in regular clothes with sunglasses and call her "regal" it kind of made me go "Really? Did she just say that? That's kind of strange..." Nicole Kidman on Oscar night, maybe, but not Britney in a toy store...I am happy that you feel young, just don't be too silly about it, OK? I feel young too, like, where has the time gone? But I am happy with my age and where I am in life...eve without a Britney concert ;)
PS - We will be putting up our Christmas tree this weekend and listening to my favorite CD "A Perry Como Christmas" LOL
(It really is a good one!)

63. Wanna - please, take a chill pill, OK?? You can call people whatever you want here, but would you do it to their face?? If so, please stay out of my neighborhood...;) PS - I dare you to go to the White House, with a megaphone, and say you are going to kill the President...think you would get away with that one??
Jack - Forgot one thing...It is true (studied Psychology in college) that the part of the brain that controls impulses is not fully formed until your mid twenties. That is why there are so many people who do stupid things in their youth which they regret later. And why teenagers are more prone to idol worship and crushes. Also why young people think they are invincible.
AND why I made the earlier statement...

64. 65. abc123 you have no idea what you are talking about so shut up and go away....take the big $300.00 words and stick em' up your uneducated, non-working,judgemental ass!!!I have an opinion and live in a country that affords me the privilege of saying whatever I want, whenever I want.........to whomever I want...If I wanna call someone a wigger or worse it is MY opinion of that person, not a race or color...you have no idea what color I am, what color my spouse is, nor what color my kids are right? Shut up and go argue with some other non-working, Oprah watching, former auto worker such as yourself!!!

++++++++++

I'm assuming that you're the same poster as shellybelly. Of course you have the right to say pretty much whatever you want in this country. No one is saying otherwise.

What I find interesting is that you are quite willing to make demeaning judgments about Britney Spears, but if someone turns the tables and starts judging you, you go ballistic. That makes you a hypocrite.

In case you don't know the $300 word "hypocrite", it means "you can dish it out, but you can't take it in return".

65. Wanna - if you checked the posts, I am not the one who used the word that has you in a tizzy...I did post about about the President and saying things to people's faces, but did not use the word. Anger management might make a great Christmas gift for you - put it on your list...

66. Getreal, you make very little sense. I cannot understand why you feel it is so important to make **absoultely sure** Britney has NO support for her artistic endeavors or for her personal recovery is completely beyond me. Isn't that an inverted celebrity obessesion? Mirror, meet Getreal. Look there before you point the finger at anyone.

Having said that, I watched some YouTube videos of Britney on tour, and I was amazed at the physical stamina she exuded in those concerts. She is much more talented than I ever imagined when I was ignoring her and her music in the early 2000s. But, I also have my doubts that she could possibly perform like that nonstop, day after day, for months at this point in her life. Maybe in a couple of years, when she stops smoking and gets very mentally and physically healthy, and maybe if she isn't taking a heavily sedating medication, but I cannot imagine her doing that right now. It would be great to see it, of course, but she wasn't anywhere near her old performance levels recently on TV. So, that's really a concern. I am surprised Larry Rudolph is allowing it. Maybe he doesn't have her best interests at heart.

67.
Jack54 and *^*, you two are such sad losers. Reasonable people do not support performers who do not create their own product. Britney is a special case because she is a crazy person who has no idea how to act like a normal human being. Britney lives in the make believe world that she is a seventeen year old super star. This moron believes that if she wears clothing that is too tight for her, that it somehow raises her above everyone. Of course, it doesn’t.

...............................................

This must be some strange new definition of "reasonable people" that most of us have not been exposed to.

As far as I know, there is no law that says that no one must enjoy performers unless they create their own product. This is no more than a personal opinion, and to try to apply it to everyone is actually quite UN-reasonable, as is calling people who disagree with you "sad losers".

69. By - I think I explained myself in post #58...need more??
Also, you criticize me for (gasp!)talking against Britney, then in your next paragraph you slam her yourself...what's up with that?? Just asking...
This morning I tried to watch part of the MTV video special of her to really try and understand the hype. I actually felt sorry for her...she seems sad and she contradicted herself so many times about her feelings that it was obvious she is in no shape to be going on tour...shame on her and especially her handlers. Get out of the spotlight!!! She COULD do it if she really wanted to, she just doesn't, that's why I'm hard on her...

70. Get real-

Are you really so lacking in intelligence and the ability to discern subtleties that you think concern for her ability to go on a world tour is "slamming her"?

I don't know what to say. That's idiotic. If I was afraid my daughter didn't have enough experience to drive in the ice would I be "slamming her" by voicing my concern?

71. SOMEBODY,ANYBODY,GET BRITNEY OUT OF THIS STUPID PUBLICITY BLITZ....SINCE SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THINGS, SOMEBODY TELL LARRY RUDOLPH THAT MOST OF THE AMERICANS DO NOT CARE, THEN THE OTHER LARGE PERCENTAGE DO NOT LIKE HER.

Posted at 4:03PM on Dec 6th 2008 by yuck

72. *^* - Let's discuss intellegence - I have a Master's degree in Education...how about yourself?? You are so dense that if you would go back and read the posts, there are pleanty of times where I say that I say that I hope she pulls herself together and that I feel sorry for her. But I guess that unless we are all not genuflecting(I'll help you out with that one - it's means "bending of the knee") to the almighty Britney, then we must be evil and cruel. I actually watched parts of some MTV special with her fans because I wanted a good laugh, and it was unreal to see grown people say things like "I cried when she cried" or "wow, golly gee, she really seemed human!" Guess what folks she is human, surprise!! But you will never know her, because she is what she puts out to the public, and sadly, I don't think she really knows herself right now.
The fact that you think that I want to make "absolutely sure" that Britney has no support is laughable. And it shows that YOU are the one who maybe needs to grow up and get a life outside of "Britney world." I think those 'superfans" should maybe spare a few of those tears for some REALLY sad things in this world, and Britney's life is not even in the top 100.

73. To shelly belly-- the reason the body guards probably hold britney's kids but they don't hold jennifer garner's or gwen stefani is because britney is mobbed by tons more paparazzi & people so they body guards are holding the kids to protect them from idiots. Where as jennifer garner maybe has 2 or 3 people taking her picture so her child is not in as much danger so there is no need for a body guard to hold them...I am sure britney would hold her kids but she is scared of the crazy people.

Thank you d*t-i think you are the only one out there with some common sense. Your right the stupid person is the one who turned the escalator on after they were told to go up the down escalator..this has nothing to do with her intelligence. I also agree that if she was stupid she would not be as famous as she is.

Posted at 4:49PM on Dec 6th 2008 by think before you speak:)

74. all u haters need to leave her alone and stop bringing her down with your negetivty. She has way more talent and money than u will ever have and thats whats most important. i can't wait to see her, she rocks my world! She looks and sounds better than ever and her kids are happy so just leave her alone. This site shoud be to lift her up not tear her down.

Posted at 6:03PM on Dec 6th 2008 by Britney Rocks!
