Kid Rock to Judge: Screw Me? My Fans Screw You

31. I agree with the judge. Kid Rock normally goes on these tours to Iraq to perform, which is a great service to our men and women over there, BUT it should not serve as community service. The judge is correct is stating that Kid Rock would have gone over there anyway.
Community Service is just that - Service to the Community. Do something different and something else to help out areas and communities in need. Work in the soup kitchen, help clean-up the highways, maybe volunteer at a local shelter, do something!
As for blogging about it - I agree with "OK" that it is Kid Rock's blog and he can write and complain about whatever he wants - his fans are free to do whatever they want - BUT the fact that the Judge's name, work address and number were purposely PROVIDED on the blog is wrong. If Kid Rock's fans want to write or call the judge to complain, I am sure in this day and age of internet, they can LOOK UP the information on their own. But the fact that Kid facailiated and provided this information is wrong.
Why is it wrong? because now the judge's chambers is flooded with frivolous complaints about an ORDER by the court. Instead of being concerned about other cases that the Judge must see to, his staff and the Judge must now deal with Kid Rock's infantile behavior.
Kid Rock - love you and your music - but you gotta face the music and GROW UP. Money and fame cannot get your everything you wish for. Suck it up and do the community service. Your fans and the community will respect you more for it and love you more for it.

I think it is GREAT if Kid Rock does do a FREE benefit concert in Iraq for the troops, BUT.... he should do it out of the desire to give back to those that give so much for him to have his freedom here (except when he screws up badly!), NOT because it is satisfying a court ordered community service sentence. If he wants things like that to count, he needs to get approval from the judge first.

At this point he is just being a whiny child and getting his screwy fans to do his "dirty work". I hope he gets more hours added on to his sentence for this stunt and if he doesn't get the hours in on time, JAIL TIME for this wanker.

34. 7. I hardly think going to Iraq can be considered a vacation. He does do his concerts every day but NOT free for the troops and flying halfway around the world to do it. No one reading this must have family members in the service or they would know how much those concerts can mean to the guys/gals. I think it is an honorable way to perform his community service.....much better than picking up trash.

36. Yeah, if I ever get in trouble with the law I'll make an argument that I should get to go to work - you know, my job - and have that count as my community service. Kid Rock is a douche bag thinking this would fly. Yeah, like he gets to perform in Iraq for the troops (which he's done and would do again anyway), get a bunch of publicity and sell a bunch of records and that counts as community service. Kid, your job is to entertain. It doesn't count as community service no matter where you do it. I'm glad the judge saw through this. Go pick up trash on the highway or read to some kids for a couple of hours, it won't kill you, idiot.

38. First of all, to say that anyone enjoys themselves in a war zone is unacceptable. No one has mentioned the $20,000 kid rock raised at the waffle house this year to help the local homeless shelter, I guess that doesn't count as community service to Judge Scrooge. Like other celeb's, people look for any reason to put them down, including the courts. This will be his 4th trip to Iraq and anyone who thinks he would not prefer to be with his family during the holidays, is way off base. Any celeb that takes a USO tour in Iraq is "giving back". Sounds to me like the judge doesn't support our troops if he can't back kid rock for giving to the troops. And to all the doubters, this is not a trip for profit.

His community service can be much more beneficial to the troops then to some crackhead bums at the soup kitchen.

If he's any good as a lawyer, he'd make more in private practice anyway. He just wouldn't have the power to impose his will over other people.

Public servants are JUST LIKE any other PEOPLE: you don't like your job, quit and find a new one, or stop your whining.

And as for you sorry, pathetic losers bashing Rock here, you too could post this information on your MySpace or other sites, it's just unfortunate for you that you are too insignificant and unimportant for anyone to go to your site, much less care what you have to say. It's not Kid Rock's fault that you lack the talent, fortitude or work ethic to make something of yourselves. Don't hold it against him that nobody cares what you have to say and nobody cares enough about you to go to bat for you.
