O.J. pleaded his case to the judge before she sentenced him, but to no avail.

Simpson was convicted on October 3 of 12 criminal counts, including kidnapping, armed robbery and burglary after he and a few pals broke into a Nevada hotel room in an attempt to recover allegedly stolen sports memorabilia. Two of the counts were dismissed at the beginning of today's hearing.

Fred Goldman: Click to watchSimpson's cohort, CJ Stewart, was also sentenced to 16 years. He is eligible for parole after six.

David Cook, a lawyer for the Goldman family, tells TMZ, "Fred Goldman is certainly going to wish Mr. Simpson a pleasant journey."

I do not think that OJ should get 15 years for this. I think this is an obvious "pay back" because he DID get away with the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson & Ronald Goldman. However, that is not the way our system is suppose to work........it's not suppose to be about "pay back". I am not a OJ fan (use to be grew up in Buffalo). How can you be a fan of someone who almost decapitated the head off the mother of his children? I don't blame OJ for wanting to get his stuff back, this was personal stuff & was his first chance to perhaps get some of it back. I'm sure as the years went by & he saw pictures of his stolen things etc. that the anger built up. Going into that Hotel with a bunch of bullies wasn't a smart move............but to get 15 years for that? No one was even hurt...............no one was even so much as slapped. I do believe that the Goldmans & Nicole's children should benefit monetarily in anyway that they can from OJ & his estate......but today as on October 3, 1993.....a miscarriage of justice has occurred. He should have got less than a year & some probation.

One poster using two names that loves O.J..... pathetic.

Yeah, I'm suuure he called the Brown family to let them know he wanted to get the stuff back. This man is a habitual liar that deserves what he got. Love the fact that he claimed that he went there just to "Yell at them and take his things back". Does this jerk think for a moment that anybody is buying it? What he seems to forget that most of his stuff was sold at auction YEARS ago. People who bought his stuff legally have every right to re-sell it on Ebay or wherever they feel like selling it. O.J. is just a greedy pig that thinks he is always right and wants to get his way all of the time. Have fun in prison, @sshole!!!

Well justice has finally been served. Thank God.
If this particular OJ trial had been held in a Los Angeles court again- OJ would have been found not guilty because it is impossible to convict celebrities accused of major crimes in the city of Los Angeles.

Goldmans GO!
OJ was found NOT GUILTY in a criminal trial and GUILTY OF MURDER in a civil trial, get that, GUILTY, and forced to pay, he then did all he could to AVOID HID LEGAL DEBT including his own words on the tapes in this case where he indicated it was his intent to prevent the Goldmans from getting their RIGHTFUL LAWFUL PAYMENTS OR ASSETS from this action in Vegas. That was illegal, and an injury to the Goldman's and their prior award from a court. THEREFORE, the Goldmans had EVERY right to be involved in, or spectators to this case, as OJ, by his own words on the tape, included them in his illegal actions when he referred to laundering these and other assets to avoid required payment to them. Once again, OJ did that, not the Goldmans. A court says he owes them, and they are doing everything within their rights to obtain what was awarded. Sorry, the Goldmans are right, and the Juice is stale

Glad the justice system nailed him this time. I know some of you are annoyed at the Goldmans, because he was found not guilty in the criminal trial. He was found LIABLE in a civil trial afterwards. Not guilty doesn't mean innocent, it means the jury just did not have enough evidence to remove reasonable doutb. Most planned homicides happen in private, with out witnesses. Usually killers who plan such acts, take steps to minimize evidence. Scott Peterson feed his wife to the sharks, etc. Prosecution of such cases is always an uphill battle. In O.J.s murder case, the prosecution wasted too much time trying to infer O.J.s guilt by bringing up paste episodes of violence. Of course, the defense had a chance each time to spin it their way. As war as the glove, it did not fit becuase O.J. gained weight in jail, and had a latex glove on under it for the demonstration in court. Having been dropped on a dew covered lawn, the glove's leather got soaked and shrank a bit.
DNA was new at the time, and the jury discounted it. Had the trial happened today, and had Macia Clark not dragged the trial out seeking to make it a national referendum against spousal abuse and stayed on target, O.J. would not have beaten the wrap. 100% GUILTY as far as I'm concerned.
