Fine. If Josh and Fergie want to lie to our face ... fine. But we're gonna call it as we see it.
The rumored-to-be-engaged couple looked like they were picking out gifts for their wedding registry at Crate and Barrel this weekend -- because they were picking up and scanning a whole bunch of items in the store.
But after the scan-fest, Josh and Fergie -- who only left with one box -- claimed they were only shopping for X-Mas gifts ... no wedding stuff. We're calling full-on B.S.

YEAH, I work for Crate, they are registering, and we always recommend you do this about 3 months before your wedding so you don't pick out too many out-of-season products that usually get discontinued. And we also recommend you keep an eye on disco items on your registry, so it's good to re-register for newer items a few times within the 3 months prior to the wedding.........

They are known to bring good luck in the new year, but one Black-Eyed Pea got lucky early. After 3 years of dating, Fergie and Josh Duhamel are engaged, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
"Fergie called a lot of her girlfriends today to tell them the news," a source close to the singer told PEOPLE. "She said they don't know what kind of wedding they want yet, but that she is the happiest girl on earth."
The Las Vegas star's rep would say only that they got engaged "recently," but not on Christmas. TMZ.com first reported the engagement news Wednesday.
Fergie was seen sporting a diamond ring on her all-important digit back in November, during the American Music Awards, but her rep denied the engagement rumors then. The couple celebrated Duhamel's 35th birthday last month with lots of love and little fanfare.
