No baby shall suffer the perils of cold footsies while Erik Estrada is on the case!
We're told while Estrada was on patrol as a reserve officer for Indiana's Muncie Police Department, he risked his own safety for that of a child.
Police say during one of Erik's midnight shifts, "he spotted a man and his girlfriend walking with a baby in the snow in 10 degree weather at 2 AM ... the baby was only dressed in pajamas."
That's when Erik braved the freezing temperature and "got them inside."
A hero never rests.

I would love to be that baby and grow up watching CHIPS and my mom come in and say "you know, Erik Estrada saved you once". That would be awesome.
And shame on those parents really, sounds like it was tom cruise and kate holmes, lord knows you hardly find suri in a jacket!
And if a dog was lost or something, the baby should be left home.
all kidding aside, it was a good thing that he was there to get those idiot parents and their baby inside. I sure hope charges are pressed against them for child endangerment. As far as Erik Estrada, leave him alone already...

I also would like to know what the parents were doing out that late with a baby only in pajamas.... who in their right mind takes a baby out in weather that cold?
Oh, and TMZ, way to be sarcastic about it....jerks!
if this is true this guy RULZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I say it is a good think he was there and he probably saved that baby's life. The parents should be investigated over this. And no matter what line of work Erik is in, as long as it is honorable, why the inuendos? God forbit you lose your job and have to take a job for less pay, especially in these hard times. Hmmm, "God, are you listening here..."
