Fantasia Barrino says reports she's about to lose a house are hogwash.

Reports say the "AI" winner is about to lose one of her homes in Charlotte, NC: She bought the 6-bed, 6,000-sq. ft. mansion back in 2007 for $1.3 mil (not a misprint) but couldn't keep up on payments. So the county will be auctioning off the house on January 12, 2009 unless she ponies up. She's also got another house nearby.

A relative of the singer tells the New York Post the whole thing is just a misunderstanding and she couldn't make a court hearing to address the issue, and her lawyer didn't immediately comment.

I am not bashing Fantasia for her misfortune..Unfortunately things happen, yall need to stop looking down on a sistah unless yall going to help her up...We don't know why she is in the position she 's in but let's just continue supporting her. Fantasia I hope all goes well with your house, and if you lose it, hey maybe it was intended to bless someone else with it....Pray for people in time of need. I can't belive some of the HATERS here....we all go thru struggles that is what makes us stronger. She will learn from her own mistakes...what is the best experience-self experience. We all at one time or another has gone thru a struggle that has made you stronger.....please don't HATE just PRAY!

17. Unfortunately it appears to be true that she is losing her house. If you go to http://www.charmeck.org/Departments/MCSO/Community+Services/auctions.htm and click on the details for 1/12/09 auction you will see her house is being auctioned on Monday!!
