Fergie's Prom Date -- Guilty-licious

Fifteen years later: Fergie makes bank -- and her old prom date is guilty of robbing one.

Vincent Dean Malicek was convicted today of one count armed bank robbery and faces up to 98 months in the slammer.

Vincent was busted back in September after a surveillance camera caught him robbing a Wells Fargo bank in Santa Ana, Calif. with a silver handgun.

31. When does the judge sentence him? Is there a date yet? Why does not he take the 100K & hire an attorney a REAL ONE like a dream team

32. I agree with Doug, if he has acess too 100k like the mother said he does and he can have it within a month, why not hire a top notch attorney. Monrovia and Duarte are in San Gabriel Valley and there is a difference. But if you look back Bernice at some of your step moms own words, she says he will serve his time for karma because of his past mistakes. Not once did she mention appeal or anything like that. IF HE IS TRUELY INNOCENT, HE WOULD APPEAL IT PLAIN AND SIMPLE. If he knows he is guilty then he shouldn't waste his time attempting too do it when their are people in actual prison that is not-guilty of the crime they are accused of.Also, if you are giving play by play whats going on in the court room the tell everything not only the parts you want to tell or don't say anything at all. I feel bad for the mother and child and really hopes he didn't do this and fights and wins appeal and gets out and becomes productive in society.

34. I have no idea when they are sentecing him. I hope they don't give him the max sentence. I am curious how much they D.A. said that was stolen. Anyways, my heart goes out too his entire family...

37. Stan if you know why not fill us in? March thats a long time for sentencing. But then again whats the rush

38. Stan, How much was taken from the bank? Can't he just go with the 3 years the prosercuser offered him? Will they make him serve more? Seems like 3 months to wait for sentencing is way too long

39. Doug, once the pleas bargin has been rejected there is no turning back after being found guilty. So the 3 years is off the table now. He will probably be given 6 yrs and actually served 3-4 years being the prisons are packed....

40. As stated by his mom somewhere on one of these boards - around 16,000. Sentencing is in March, that is just the timeline. The deal is off the table.

41. How does DNA clear someone of bank robbery? The "birthmark" his mom claims to see on the perp's face in the surveillance video could just be a scab from his meth addiction. The reason he didn't want to wait a month for his $100K is because addicts need their fix when they need their fix, duh! No worries about him missing out on his kid's childhood...babymama had/has a restraining order against him from the time she was pregnant. Lastly, to say that he is serving his time to make amends for his past is such a pathetic excuse it makes me embarrassed for his mom for saying it. Bottom line, it looks like him (to those of us who went to school with him), it probably is him and if it isn't, I'd like to see someone other than his mommy standing up for him.

42. its still sad regardless of it all. That someone is that desperate to rob a grocery store bank too get more drugs IF that is the case. I can somewhat understand if his kid is starving and wanted money for food but this is bad. Perhaps, this might be the best thing for him too kick his addiction and get the help he needs but too have someone say he is in there because of Karma and he is fine with it because of all the things he has done in the past wrongs is simply insane. No one in their right mind would believe that for one minute. I am not hear too keep condemning him of his actions. If the mom has addy where he will be I have no problem writing too him. For Deans Mom, although I am sure it is devestating too you and your family, lets hope he recieves the help he needs in prison so when he gets out this occurance will not happen again.

43. They are going to sentence him in March thats when we appeal. Almost 16,000 was stolen and they never recovered anything, They also never proved he spent that much, not even close to that amount. He had did a job earlier that month and received money...around 1,000 but thats all the DA can say was used??? Even a week after the bank robbery, his dog got sick and took her to the hospital and even on the doctors note it stated " Patient declined anymore treatment can't pay" So don't you think if he had 16,000 he would of used that?? Doesn't make sense...

44. Bernice, playing devils advocate here because I hope he didn't do it.... If he didn't have DNA that matched up, no evidence of any of the money on him, the first teller said it wasn't him, their was a mole on the guys cheek and Dean doesn't have a mole, How the hell was he convicted then? Obviously they had too say something so please enlighten us since all you guys are saying is they have no proof!!! Btw, by him saying he doesn't have money for the Dog doesn't mean he did or didn't do anything. He could be using that as a witness saying he didn't have money... So please, I know alot of us or at least some want too believe he is innocent and not guilty so please tell us what was the case on then
