It's BUSH who is sticking his nose where it doesn't belong and putting our troops where they are not wanted trying to force our ways on other countries. We are hated all around the world because of the Bush policies and lack of leadership. President Obama will restore respect to this country something the Republicans failed to do. If you hate Obama you must be a Republican and enjoying the state of affairs this country is in after the past 8 years run by a bunch of incompetents!

71. Were the heck was the Secret Service?! As an RCMP officer, I have had protection detail more then a few times for royalty and the G.G., and each time I've done it it would of been impossible to even get one shoe off. The sercret service is a joke, that could of easily been a gun. I'm sure a few officers lost jobs today. You should all be glad that Bush is o.k.

73. The International "Incident" that would have ensued had one of those shoes connected with President Bush is staggering to ponder. And it proves that the United States presence in Iraq is unwanted and despised. George W. should have proclaimed that ALL (every single man and woman) will be withdrawn from the country-effective immediately and let the Iraqi people fight their own civil wars. We've wasted too many American lives and money in this Third World, barbaric nation.

As much as I dislike the current President, I'm glad he remains unscathed and was able to make a joke about it.

74. I wonder if the guy who threw the shoe will get any offers from Major League Baseball. I think he's got a pretty good arm but he needs to polish up on his curve. But seriously, it is kinda scary to think that if one of those shoes hit our President squarely in the nose, it could have possibly killed him! One thing that could have made this situation far worse is if this sole attacker had lit his shoes on fire before launching them towards the intended target. I didn't see any Secret Service guys carrying squirt guns.
